I'm about to get on that train!
I was looking at a Baja designs bar, but I liked the blacked out look of the Rigid Midnight series, and I would bet the build qualities are roughly equal.
Picked up a set of ebay-brackets, as well as the nuts/bolts that Waterfowler41's youtube channel...
I don't remember the exact wording, it's been a few years since my last truck that had Air Suspension - but I think if you had a heavy load in the bed and tried to lower it, it might say something like, "ride height not permitted" something-something.
I know there's some sort of sensory array...
I can add to this, I had a set of Falcon shocks put on my Rebel a few months ago.
When new? The rears were a scunch over 40in to the rear fenders, the front right was 39in flat, the front left I think was a scunch under 39.
Now the front driver's side is about 38.5in, the front right is 38.625...
Hmm.
Well take a look at what they weigh in the size you're looking at - the Falkens might be a few pounds heavier.
There was once a rumor (About a year ago) floating around about Falken changing the rubber compound. No idea if that's true, no idea.
What I can, just in case it helps (And the...
I can answer the 2nd question:
If you go with either the ram airflow intake, or the vararam intake, the spot where the old the spot where the old airbox went is a great place to put another battery.
A member here, I think his handle is rampatriot, he did exactly that
Part of me thinks the magic of the good ride is a combo! I think could be in some part also due to the BFGoodrich KO2 tires. I had a set on my last rebel, between the tires and the air ride it was a cushy, cushy ride!
In my non-expert opinion the BFG rubber is soft and grippy, even as it got...
Today I went to a hardware store to buy the bolts, washers, etc.
I am soooo ready!
The parts thusfar:
- ebay lightbar bracket
- home debot bolts and washers
- rigid lightbar, 20in midnight SR
- rough country wireless "doohickey"
What I'm curious about, I'm wondering if I can pair the rough...
Mine's a good solid CLAAAAANGGGGGGG when I close it.
The shop who (installed it for me after I tried and failed so badly to do so) put it on, basically sat there like,
"We can't believe we did this, but we did. The magnaflow has one big pipe!"
Thank you for this post man!
This got me thinking about putting together my own "cUsToM" setup.
Glad I started looking at the Rigid lights, I saw the "midnight" series and that was right for me
Thank you for all the information guys! I've learned a ton from this thread as I'm cobbling together parts for a lightbar setup for the truck.
I ordered this 20in one from Rigid:
Not inexpensive, but should hide pretty well behind in the front of the truck.
I won't blab on and de-rail the...
Hmm... This makes me think my falcon medium setting shocks can run a 295/70R18..
If I could swap to larger tires without changing anything, I'd be so happy!
Hmm. Then I'm thinking Plan A is:
- Wear out these tires (I'm telling myself I can wait that long :ROFLMAO:.
If someone on the board offered to buy these Toyo AT3s off of me I'd probably accept)
- Figure out if I can run a 1/2in rear spring spacer. I think the Falcon rear shocks supposedly have...
