I love my DA. <-- Sounds weird. You can make your vehicle look better than new. It's also a huge time saver when applying sealants/waxes and spreads them thin so it's easy to get off. Spread with 2-3, polish with 5-6. Wax with 4ish. Every DA is a little bit different though.
I would go with...
Big Horns kind of run a wide range of options. Ram killed express which is now a stripped down big horn. But even with an express model you could get just about any option. My 2017 had the 5.7, limited slip, 32gal tank, tow package, 20" wheels and led bed lighting. I never understood the...
I would check the torque or the mount bolts they put in. You can rent a torque wrench for free or buy a cheap one from HF. If they are at least at 80ftlbs try going to 85. If that doesn't fix the clunk, it must be something else loose.
Ceramic is ok. I'm not totally sold on it. While it performs well over a long period of time, it won't always feel or look good. The proper prep is crazy.
If you want it over with, daily drive the vehicle and occasionally wash, ceramic is for you. But if you have that kind of mentality you...
It's fixed. I gave a new dealer, who is new to me and not the incompetent dealer where I purchased the truck from, all of my research on my front fender leak including the star case.
The service writer advised the shop on my concerns. They were able to seal the leak WITHOUT removing the...
Found today where the leak is coming from on the inside. It's dripping out of a hole that is for securing the wiring harness. I ran water between the two inner fender panels. Now I understand why they need to take the fender off.
Thank you! So you never removed the fender.... I'm think I can get in there with a wand and seam seal it especially if I can get that rubber corner piece off. How does that come off? Just pry up and pull?
I have the typical front fender leak into the drivers foot well area. The STAR case instructions for the dealer say to remove the fender to seal the body seam underneath. I've noticed that the fender has a painted tab and bolt up behind the mirror to hold it on. I don't want that to look...
Further update. I traced the leak to coming from under the black rubber thing behind the pedals. Specifically the far left side under the dead pedal area. I believe it's the windshield. The odd part is it doesn't leak hardly at all when parked even with torrential rain. The water comes in when...
The OP asked what to do to properly wash his truck. We had a plethora of people responding with advice to do nothing and it's just a truck. Properly washing will minimize wear and tear on the paint leading to less correction and effort in the long run if you keep it.
I applaud the dedication...
If you have actual drying towels and go lightly you should be fine especially if you use a drying aid like uuw+ or a detail spray. Wolfgang rinse less wash uber diluted 1/2oz to 22oz of distilled water is my new favorite.
I found the thread about the front fender seam seal. There's a tsb on it.
I'm not taking it to the dealer. They are horrible. Ramcares is pretty useless as well.
I kept getting a musty old sock smell on hot days recently. It happens quite frequently after a long rainfall. So I figured there might be a leak.
I pulled up the carpet and found wet padding on the driver's side foot well. Not too much and only on the edge closest to the door. I ran water...
