Go over to the 2019-2020 Silverado and Sierra forum and check out the 127 page thread on rear window leaks. Read about the brake by wire issues they are having. Then tell me that they are any more reliable than the new RAM.
Personally, I believe that all 3 of the major truck makers are...
Mine didn't come with Goodyears or Falkens. Mine came with Bridgestone Dueller H/L. Currently on my list to never buy under any circumstances.
I have an appoinment for Friday to get the Continentals installed at Discount Tire. Cannot wait.
Honestly, I am getting the Continental Terraincontact A/T in 275/60-20. Yes, I know the stock size is 275/55-20, but I like the way the 60 fills up the wheel well better. I think the stock gap is too large...
Almost 30k on mine now. Zero issues. But, I can say this in all honesty... After nearly 30k miles, I have to say, these stock tires suck. There is still legal tread left on mine, but I am going to replace them next week.
I just rolled over 22k miles on my 2019 and the stock tires look like hell. I would have expected to get 25 to 30k out of these, but I will be changing them soon.
What kind of miles are you folks getting out of your OEM tires before replacement? Just curious.
Oh and my Laramie came stock...
Don't know about painting the calipers, but I was thinking of going more radical. Baer makes 15" rotors for the Silverado. We have the same bolt pattern.
Soooo, I am thinking of buying a set of these rotors, then working with a buddy of mine who has a machine shop to make brackets so I can...
I bought a set of 72" Race Ramps when I bought my 2018 ZL1 Camaro. These also work good for the truck.
I like the fact that I can remove most of the ramp once the truck is in the air. Makes it easier to service stuff.
Here is a link to the ramps I am referring to...
Wow Man, I would have sought out a different dealer after the first "could not duplicate". **** happens with these complicated vehicles nowadays, but we should not have to fight with the dealer to get them to handle an issue with a known TSB.
Can FCA possibly get to a point where they care about quality control? Seriously, we are talking about a company ultimately owned by FIAT. Look up FIAT quality issues. You know the acronym is "Fix It Again Tony". I think the current level of quality is the best we can all hope for. And...
OP, by now you have to realize that 90% of the people who join these forums only do so to vent when they are having an issue. There are literally tens of thousands of new RAM owners that are NOT on this forum. Most of them probably don't have any of the issues that you seem so concerned about...
I have the auto dimming feature on my 2019 Laramie. It was annoying, so I disabled it. There were times I wanted my hi beams on and they were not and there were times it would not dim them for an approaching vehicle. It is a feature I can live without... Just my 2 cents...
A previous poster mentioned replacing door speakers with JBL. Are they 4 ohm or 2 ohm? I have owned this truck over a year and have never really been impressed with the stereo. My 2018 ZL1 Camaro has a much better sounding stock system. So, I am probably going to replace all of the stock...
We have had our 19 since October of 2018. Just over 22,000 miles now. The only issue is the squeaking brakes. Doesn't affect performance, just annoying. Have had 2 recalls done, but only because the dealer called us and suggested we get them done.
To the poster on the first page who asked...
I would not let the eTorque thing stress you. Mine has the eTorque Hemi
Approaching 20,000 miles now. No issues. I still think it was a gimmick to charge us more money as I don't think it helps fuel mileage at all. But, having it won't hurt your truck at all.
While my 2019 Ram Laramie does not have the Air suspension, my wife's previous vehicle (a 2009 Mercedes R350) did have 4 corner air suspension. For the first 4 and half years, the air suspension was great. Then, we had the pump assembly go out. That was a $800 replacement not covered under...
