I have the 3.21 - got it deliberately for highway mileage, the camper I will be pulling next year is just below 5,000 pounds loaded so the 3.21 should do fine with it.
Thought I had that in my signature, I'll add that.
Quarter of the way into a 5,000 mile round trip from Austin to Chilliwack, BC. I'd been eager to see what kind of mpg I'd get with back to back days of 100% highway driving. I had 1,000 miles on the truck when I left home so it was pretty well broken in. All my driving so far has been in the...
I ordered my truck in May, at that point there were very few in owners' hands yet so not many real world experiences reported. As more took delivery and started to report issues, I did get a little nervous. But I have a fairly basic Lonestar and have had zero issues with it and absolutely love...
Update to my original post - I've found that the sensors tend to need a couple of minutes to warm up and register properly when I start driving and then they are very accurate. The tire pressure goes up while driving, and they tend to retain the higher pressures in memory when I turn the truck...
I doubt I'll ever use the CD player - thought I would before we got the truck, but then I just copied all my CD's onto a thumb drive and leave it plugged into one of the USB ports, much more convenient.
Just noticed that my truck has two rubber tailgate bumpers on the left side and none on the right. The right side has holes exactly where the left bumpers are mounted, I'm guessing someone on the assembly line got distracted and didn't install my right ones. Do your trucks have bumpers on both...
The manual that comes in the truck is a condensed version - when you request and receive the full printed manual it's easy to see why they don't put that in the truck, it's a brick.
The only reason I can think of to get a Bighorn loaded up with everything would be if you really prefer the cloth seats, otherwise the higher trims would probably be the way to go. Even very lightly optioned my Bighorn/Lonestar is a really nice truck, the interior is first rate and it has the...
There must have been a printing error on the manual they sent you - I had the full printed manual sent to me and it is correct, photos and descriptions are all relevant to the 2019.
Not sure about that. I think the light mountain brown & black interior is only available in the Bighorn/Lonestar trim, and with that color upholstery many of the dash and door panels are also light brown. We thought it brightened up the interior and had a warmer feel, just a personal...
I would rather have had the Mopar Ram logo mats but went with the Weathertech because they were the only ones that came in a tan color, very close match for the light mountain brown in my Lone Star. Here are some photos showing the fit.
A good reason to avoid soft carriers - a plastic carrier would have averted that problem.
I know a thing or two about cats...and they are paying for my truck :)

I got the 33 gallon tank and it's terrific to have an extended range - means stopping for gas when it's convenient and not really having to worry about how far you can go.
That makes me feel better, maybe my 98 wasn't overloaded after all. I'd estimate between the pin weight of the 5th wheel, hitch, cargo, and passengers I probably had 1,800 pounds, and it did just fine with that other than a lack of power climbing at high altitudes. Thanks for digging up that info!
Do you have any data on payload capacity for the 99's? I spent many years with my 98 quad cab, 5.9, 3.55, 6'4 bed, towing a 5,500 pound fifth wheel all over the country. Didn't know anything about payload ratings back then, went strictly by tow ratings. And while it went everywhere I needed...
