Ha ha Sto Lat to you as well!
Yep they charged $150 and it didn’t do squat. RamCares then said it’s a software issue that might be addressed in a future update but had no guess as to timing.
Sure here you go. Haven’t done anything yet with tires. Spent a couple weeks researching wheel spacers or new wheels but eventually decided to stay stock, mostly because of a post in another thread where I asked a guy who had the same spacers I was considering say he didn’t notice any...
It’s detailed in another thread but after several months of going back and forth with dealers, RamCares, and finally US Uconnect support, they concluded that the issue is that the software does not allow the nav or incoming text volume to be set and remembered after each vehicle startup. They...
I sent @RamCares screenshots of the dealer mode display (you have to scroll down to see all the info) and they were able to help ID the software version.
After informing RamCares that the software update did not solve the problem, they referred me to the Uconnect team. The Uconnect agent had me take the truck in to the dealer for a second opinion on not being able to lower the volume, and the dealer confirmed that all radios work this way...
Trying to decide if I want to bother putting on 1/4" front and 3/8" rear wheel spacers, and interested in impressions if anyone may have tried this setup. Here's how I got there, sorry in advance for the math...
Truck is stock with 20 x 9 factory wheels. Stock rear suspension, front lifted...
Just got back from alignment at the dealer. Some readings are still out after alignment but the dealer claims they cannot be adjusted. Here are the numbers in case it is helpful to someone... this is with everything stock except 1.3" (position 4) front Bilsteins.
Left front camber: Before...
OK so it turns out that even though I removed the bottom nut on the sway bar end link, it was not releasing from the LCA. Pounded it out from the bottom and it immediately became no problem to get the old strut out and the new one in.
One side done, have it set at position 4, 1.3" height, and...
I did... tie rod end (replacing it anyway), sway bar end link, upper control arm. LCA should just pivot out of the way but I have a 7 foot digging bar that I put into the LCA hole and SAT ON IT and it was just enough to let the three upper bolts out of their holes.
Have been hearing a groaning...
I am actually in the middle of installing 5100's in my 2019 right now and am ready to scream, everything was fine until it was time to remove the factory strut, and the lower control arm does not droop low enough to get it out. Sitting here drinking bourbon and surfing for a solution because...
Bought my 2019 used last summer and loved everything about it except the color scheme. The deal and options were too good to pass up so I took a deep breath and dove into the dechroming process. Finished yesterday with the front bumper and grill. Found a used black set that needed touched up...
I was able to send a direct message to @RamCares on this site, they were able to talk me through identifying the current software that I had, and were able to point out that it was not the most recent version in spite of what the VIN website said. I did go to the dealer and spend $150 for the...
Reviving an old thread to hopefully save someone some money and aggravation...
At the advice of RamCares, I took my 2019 to the dealer to have the software updated from 21.14.14 to 22.34.11 to try and solve this problem. So tired of driving a truck that I can't pair my phone with because of how...
