Stock big horn speakers V.S alpine

Do you have the ability to do some measurement sweeps with a mic and REW or similar? I’d be interested in seeing what it looks like after you replace all of the speakers. I could run some sweeps on my stock Alpine system for comparison.

    Hello from Pennsylvania!

Hello from just a little south of you. Sounds like you got a good deal. Enjoy!

Stock big horn speakers V.S alpine

I do not know the manufacturer of the base system but when we say Alpine on this forum, we mean the Amplified System with the Subwoofer. If you like to listen to music, spend the money. If not, you'll be heavily involved in this thread...

    Cornering fog lights delimma..

When the high beams are on, the fogs are turned off but if you take a turn while the high beams are on, the corresponding fog light will turn on. I always run my fog lights, it fills the gap if you will and has saved me from hitting some animals, mainly deer.

    New tires and adjustment issues

It’s never a bad idea to get an alignment on a vehicle when getting new tires....your situation however is different, it’s new so it wasn’t required. Take it back to the shop and tell them to have another go at it but also tell them, if you’re not happy, you’d like a refund for the alignment so...

    Rebel 12 speakers

Is Alpine standard on the Rebel? If so, I wouldn’t be surprised that it’s listed and then the options supercede the standard.

Stock big horn speakers V.S alpine

If you are just looking through trucks on the lot, a quick tell is the center speaker on the dash will have Alpine written in white.

Not sure how I feel about these....

I had the same steps. I thought I wanted them when I bought my truck but they just don’t match the rest of the truck IMO. I ended up replacing them with aftermarket steps.

    ORP with a lift kit

My tires are 34”. I do believe I could get a 35” in there without rubbing but I didn’t want a “stuffed” look. I did not change tire width from factory however (10.8”) as I wanted the steering to feel the same. This is the same setup I had on my 14 and was very happy with.

    ORP with a lift kit

Same truck, Level 2 Big Horn with ORP. Readylift 2” Level, 34” tires. Boat is about 3500 lbs. Slight rake, maybe 1” when not towing.

Stock big horn speakers V.S alpine

I’ve listened to both Stock and Alpine in Big Horns. It is a night and day difference. The fact that you are asking, tells me that you should spend the money.

    Cornering fog lights delimma..

Mine is a Big Horn and does it. My buddies 3 year old Chevy does it. I think it’s just become a standard with cars??

Why would you want to turn it off?

    Where’s my hitch?

Wow. I thought all Rams came with a class IV receiver. I’ve learned something new myself.

Should RAM ditch the knob shifter ?

Ironic, 5 years of living with “The Knob” and I mistakenly did this just today in my driveway. I never knew it did that either. Glad it did though, had a zillion things on my mind this afternoon and avoided a mishap thanks to tech.

    Where’s my hitch?

That’s normal. You have a receiver. Go buy a hitch that has the ball size you need.

    Heated Seats to hot?

Are they designed to run full time? I like how hot they get quickly. Once the cabin is up to temp, I shut them off and am comfortable.

Do I buy one? What would you do different?

I had two F150s, the latest had the 3.5 Ecoboost. Since, I am now on my second Ram and did look at F-150s again before buying my 19 Ram, just to be 100% certain, I was 99% sure already. ;) Trading a 16 F-150 in for a 19 Ram though is questionable. I never like to question people and their...

    A few ReadyLift questions

This probably relates to options just like payload does.
