Yes, it works exactly how intended so you don’t have to turn it off time and time again when you make stops. There are indicators to let you know that it is off so it will remind you.
How did you plug in your trailer without backing up to it first? Didn’t the warning sound, before you got out to plug in your trailer?
I tow my boat often, every time I go to back up to the hitch I have that STFU moment when the warning sounds, turn it off and resume backing up.
Your best bet would be to go into the tire section on this site and plan to do some reading. There is no definitive “best” in either rim or tire, it just comes down to what you want out of a tire and look of rim.
I’m back! Almost 5k miles and I had to have the front brake caliper pins greased to cure a squeak I had. I suppose someone went on break that day and had an unfamiliar person assemble the brake assembly not realizing the pins should be greased. Easy fix while I had the first oil change...
I hear you.....for the typical person, a vehicle is the 2nd largest purchase they make in their life. Having sold a home, people have tried to nickel and dime me for things that were not included in my home sale. Heck, they do that on $100 items I sell on Craigslist so to see people not do that...
It’s this stuff that makes me scratch my head. People spend 50k+ and have no clue about their trucks. Anyone want to buy some land? It’s awesome, I promise.
That ones gets me a little too. Reversing at night makes you double check yourself and I’ve created the habit of putting the windows down in those situations. I do like the look of it though so I live with it.
Another “opinion”. I would not be afraid to go with that setup. Go look at the towing comparison chart, why is yours at 8k and the next truck at 11k? Gears, that’s it. You’re just going to take longer getting up to cruising speed and your engine braking won’t be as aggressive but it’s not...
You are an extremely patient person. You bought the truck, yeah, it sucks, there is a minor issue with it so in the interim, you can turn the auto fold mirror option off until a fix is released but for them to keep YOUR TRUCK? I call BS! I have this odd feeling something happened with your...
Sounds like you've made up your mind, which is great and was the intention of your thread. I will however leave you with this as I consider myself to be a "common sense" person as well. I am on my 10th truck (3rd Ram - not sequentially), I've owned an 8k lb. travel trailer, I've traded a truck...
“Everyone you know”? Do they own a 19 Ram? Rhetorical question because if they did, they wouldn’t tell you not to buy it.
If I woke up this morning and mine disappeared from my driveway, once my insurance check was in hand, I’d be right back to the dealership buying the identical Ram.
