    Nitto Recon Grappler A/T

They are on my list.. Being a numbers dork, I actually put all 3 on a spreadsheet. The Toyos weigh the least, the MT's weigh the most. The Nitto's have the longest warranty (but only by 5k over the other 2). The MT's cost the most, the Toyos and Nittos are almost exactly the same price. It...

    Nitto Recon Grappler A/T

I had the Recons on my '21 1500, and was very happy with them. Will likely be going with them again when I upgrade my '22, between those and the Toyo A/T III

2022 Ram 1500 amp install (hk system)

Also- you need an additional harness for the ap4-ch41 for ‘22 and newer models. I’ll try and find The part# and post it later

2022 Ram 1500 amp install (hk system)

    1. Yes- the 3 dash speakers (L, R, C), 4 front door, 2 rear door, 2 rear headliner, and sub all have individual wiring. No need to rewire any of them. 2. no diff for etorque. My last truck was etorque, the stereo wiring is the same, and ran the same amps

2022 Ram 1500 amp install (hk system)

You’re on the right track,as far as what you need. A few pointers. - you don’t need to re-run any speaker wire for the doors, the 3.5s in the doors are wired separately from the 6x9s With the HK system. -unless you’re planning to run a 2500+ watt sub amp, you don’t need a new battery...

5th Gen Stock Stereo Upgrade Options?

you need at least the anc bypass (or cut the wires to bypass the anc), and a line output converter. You won’t find something exactly like what net audio has on Amazon, since he designed and makes those custom for the Ram, but if you know what you’re doing, you can diy it a little cheaper.

5th Gen Stock Stereo Upgrade Options?

ok, so that one I linked would do exactly what you need. you plug it in to the ANC module, and it gives you a signal out to your subwoofer amp, using the LOC that’s included

5th Gen Stock Stereo Upgrade Options?

do not buy the Amazon one. It’s not compatible, it’s for older models only. If you get the PAC interface, you need the .R2 model with the extra harness - so only buy one that specifically calls out ‘22 models and newer. if you’re only adding a sub, you don’t need the Ap4-ch41. When I...

5th Gen Stock Stereo Upgrade Options?

Did you try reversing the polarity, I.e. swapping the positive and negative connections? some Of those metra connectors are known to have the pos and negative wires backwards, so the positive from the stereo goes to the negative of the speaker, and vice versa. not sure that this is your...

    Granite crystal metallic thread

sorry, I don’t. I traded in that truck last Jan on a ‘22 Laramie, and deleted most of the pics for space. If I come across any on here, I’ll repost

    Granite crystal metallic thread

I painted it myself, I’m not 100% on the color any more, but I think it was this one - got it at Auto Zone. Dupli-Color Perfect Match Universal Touch Up Paint Blue Pearl Spray

For those with 6 speaker base stereo who have upgraded-What speaker did you use?

I can confirm that they fit in all locations.. the only place I’ve seen anyone get a single is on here, for the same reason, lol. Maybe check the 5th gen rams FB group, too. Good news is that they are pretty cheap, so it won’t cost an arm and a leg if you do have to get two pair. (then...

    Uconnect updates causing battery drain?

Following..my xm has started cutting out for 5 seconds at a time or so over the past week. And it’s happening multiple times in a row, then will be ok for a while, but then happens again. Not a signal issue, as it works perfectly fine through the app on my phone, it’s specific to the truck...

Installing a subwoofer and amplifier with the alpine system

You can't (well, shouldn't) try and run some speakers off the factory amp, and others off an aftermarket amp. The factory amp for the Alpine and HK system has the crossovers built into it, so certain frequencies go to the dash, doors, sub, etc, and you can't change any of that. So if you try...

H/K audio upgrade - VAST Improvment

I think this is the one… just double check at least a couple when you are setting up to be sure.. a 9-volt battery will tell you what speaker each wire is connected to

H/K audio upgrade - VAST Improvment

pac harness… there are three plugs going into the stock amp (two 22 pin, and one 10 pin). You unplug those, connect them to the pac harness, then plug the pac harness into the stock amp where those plugs were. Super simple. The pac harness has wires coming off of it for each speaker (which are...

H/K audio upgrade - VAST Improvment

Weird! But good to know. yes - the HK amp is under the drivers seat. No need to take it out. If you get the harness from PAC, it bypasses the ANC, and gives you a hookup for all the speakers without needing to remove the stock amp. the PAC harness plugs directly into the stock amp

H/K audio upgrade - VAST Improvment

I didn't measure them before replacing the stock amp- but if not, what's the point of even having the 3.5s in the doors? Why put them there at all if they are playing the same frequency as the dash? (not that I haven't seen plenty of pointless things done in vehicles)

H/K audio upgrade - VAST Improvment

The 3.5 in the door is the exact same speaker as in the dash and the rear headliner. But, it’s crossed over in the HK system for highs. The 6x9s in the doors are midbass only, so 500 and below makes sense. The dash would be somewhere around 500-4000ish, and the 3.5 in the door would be...
