Is there anyway to get rid of this stupid icon at the top of my screen for the AppMarket? It so annoying having unwanted items displayed! Aside from the transmission problem these unwanted icons are part of the reason I stepped away from GMC with the constant ads popping up for the Google software!!

Short of another Uconnect update I don’t think there’s a way to get it to go away. It’s definitely annoying IMO. I don’t mind the app itself but the option to not have it where music information used to be displayed is my issue.

I did some digging around and ChryslerCares took a list of VIN’s on the Pacifica forums a few years ago when this happened before because customers were unhappy with it. Maybe @RamCares can help here.

It used to be a once-in-a-blue-moon pop-up, but under the previous software manager (one of Carlos Tavares's people), her priority was to sell us stuff more than fix bugs. Thats when it started sticking more and not letting us get rid of it.

Now that she and Carlos are gone, there is a laundry list of things to be fixed. Just like any company after a bad leader, it takes a lot longer to fix the issues caused than it did to create them. I just learned to ignore it for the time being. I believe you can put the music information in your cluster if you so desire as a work-around (assuming you have the full digital cluster).

I placed 2 small pieces of black electrical tape over it and the Alexa thing, now I do not see them and get angry, works for me.
The Alexa app thing can be removed. It was on my ‘22 Longhorn when I 1st bought it. I think I replaced it with the camera view icon. Not such luck with the ugly market app though. Funny thing is months ago I was able to touch it, then immediately hit my media icon. Then the SiriusXM channel would show in the spot, till my truck sat over night. Then it would be back. But it recent months, as already mentioned, you can’t do that anymore, of course, there is your black tape hack!

Started my truck this morning and started driving and the Uconnect rebooted itself. That icon disappeared and displayed the radio station. Less than 10 minutes later it came back. I had 10 minutes of satisfaction.

I can't get rid of it. I messed around a few times and either I'm incompetent or the ability to customize just doesn't work on mine.

So I looked at this again after work yesterday. I was dragging the shortcut up on top of an existing shortcut. I made the assumption dragging and dropping over the existing app shortcut would replace it. Guess not. Then I grabbed the app shortcut from the bar and dragged it down and was able to remove it. I was then able to replace it with another one. I would have expected some message asking if I wanted to replace the app shortcut with the new one or saying you can't replace and existing app shortcut and delete it first. I'm willing to admit to some incompetence however there is also a lack of decent documentation and the UI is kind of crappy. Regardless I got it working and that is all that matters.

Of course the App Market icon was non-removable. It reminds me of a psycho ex I once had. No matter how hard I tried I couldn't get rid of her.

Wait! What did you drag and drop exactly?

There is a row of icons on the top bar display of the screen. Starting on the left is the icon for seat/wheel heat (if you have heated seats) then either the media playing or the app store covering it up. Toward the right there is Profile manager, Alexa ... ending with passenger side seat heat. In the center below the icons is a thin horizontal bar you can drag down and that opens a screen where all the app icon shortcuts you can add/remove on the top bar are displayed.

To remove select the icon from the top bar and drag it down into the lower section and release. You will then see an empty outline where the icon was. Select an icon from the below panel and drag it into the empty icon space and release.

Nice. I have that part figured out. I thought you were able to remove the advertisement tile also. The hunt continues.

Okay, so I gotta ask - if you couldn't get rid of her, is she your wife now? ;)

She was Bipolar which was unknown to me when we started dating. When she was on her meds it was manageable however like a lot of Bipolar people she would stop taking the meds and then things got bad. She couldn't deal with our breakup and became a stalker. She honestly was a nice person but I didn't feel sorry because she kept going off her meds. Her parents got involved and she moved back in with them and thats when everything settled down. It was actually a huge eye opener about the sad state of healthcare for the mentally unhealthy.

Sorry to make light of your wording. I had a friend who was also in a relationship with someone who was bipolar and it was scary to be around when she was off her meds and that was me on the outside looking in.

No offense, no problem. I worded it in such a way for people to have a reaction.

Hi @pizza_pablo I would like to take a moment to clarify for you that Ram cares is the Social Engagement Team for Stellantis. We monitor forums and social media platforms to assist customers currently experiencing vehicle concerns and connect them with a Case Specialist to work with their dealers throughout the repair process. We also track trends so that the appropriate parties are made aware of what concerns our customers are experiencing. We provided the number to our connected services team as they ultimately are in control of the App Market. Our team has collected all the feedback here and passed it on for further review. If you have any additional question we're in private message!

Hi @oe542bob , are in need of parts assistance or currently experiencing vehicle concerns? We're in private message if you would like to discuss further.
