Sunroof creaking noises

Anyone come up with a definitive answer. I have used the 3-1 seal conditioner and lubed everything. It was good for less than 24 hrs. I hate going to the dealer to have them tell me everything is good.

Any bulletin’s from Chrysler?

Thank you
Greg
2022 Ram 1500 Longhorn Panoramic Roof

I had a dual pano roof on my previous 2014 Grand Cherokee. There was an annoying "tick" whenever the body would flex the slightest bit due to one side of the glass being in a bit of a bind. Ended up having to re-level the sunroof and the noise went away. Unfortunately, I don't have access to info regarding the tolerances for the Ram sunroofs since retiring from automotive. Maybe someone that has OE access could look up the sunroof adjusting procedure and post it up?

Thank you. I have an appointment next week at the dealership. Hopefully they will have that info.

Here is the service bulletin on the possible noise. The unfortunate thing is the front windshield needs to come off and my dealership doesn’t do windshield work. They will have to bring it somewhere else.

I hope this fixes the creaking and helps everyone in the future.

Hi all. I am going through this issue right now on my 22 Larime. My wife has a 20 Durango RT with the same sunroof and no noise. Just got home from the dealership for the 2nd round on the sunroof. They did a star service, removed the headliner, and said they found 12 screws that were not factory torqued. Said they tightened it and it no longer makes any noise. As soon as I turned the wheel to pull out of the parking spot the body flex made it creak/pop. The service department had already left for the day and no one in the dealership would come out to hear it. The first time I had it in they said they found no noise. Anyone with this issue knows that it is very noticeable. I am an inspection tech, but not a Ram tech. When I took the Ram tech for a ride in their parking lot he said yeah, now I hear it, I didn't hear it before. He said there is no known issues with these and he would need to open a star case. Guess I have to call them tomorrow to schedule round 3. Thank you all for sharing this info, so now I have some more info to help direct them.

Did they fix it?

I'm having the same issue on my 2025 Tungsten.

My 2025 Tungsten has a similar issue and has been to the dealer for it 3 times and counting. Popping noise is coming from the passenger rear roof area when there is torque on the body (bumps, curves, slow speed turns). Initially the dealer suspected the sunroof and replaced the rail system which did not help. Eventually, they found a bad pinch weld in the roof (rear passenger side). The first "repair" resulted in a hole in my roof (factory rep/tech) and an extended stay at the body shop for repair. This repair held for a while and then failed. 2nd repair included some type of sealing in the area with the pinch weld. This also helped for a short time and now the popping noise is back. I'll be heading back to the dealer again! For what it's worth, I'm still loving my truck (overall) and am fortunate enough to have a good dealer to work with (O'Fallon MO).

Hi there, feel free to send our team a private message for an extra layer of support alongside the dealer.

I purchased a 2025 1500 Rebel X last month and noticed a loud rattle in the sunroof frame just behind the driver’s seat. I took it to the dealer, and they found some loose sunroof frame bolts and tightened them, but the noise didn’t go away. It sounds like a coated hard plastic cable rattling inside the sunroof frame with every bump. I’ve even removed the headliner to locate the source. Has anyone else experienced this and managed to fix it successfully?
