U11E9 Active Grille Shutter error back again a year after replacing it.

CEL: local parts store pulled code U11E9 “Lost Communication with AGS”
This site was very helpful to point out the following:

Most likely the AGS, active grille shutter, is fine and the real problem is the AAD, active air dam. So to verify the AGS works just start the vehicle and look through the grille. If the grille shutters cycle through their full range of motion you know you have power, ground and nothing stuck in the shutters. Then just unplug the AAD and to reset the code and clear the CEL unplug the negative terminal on the battery for 20 minutes. Now CEL gone and remote start works on these 15 degree mornings.
Thank you man I will give it a try

Hi,
Replaced the Active Grille Shutter (AGS) on my 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie myself 12-18 months ago after getting the U11E9 code. Incidentally, something I'd never want to do again given the complexity, frustration and awkwardness of doing it lying on the ground. Now the error is back again so wondering what is causing it. I'm not a mechanic btw. Cleared the error code to remove the check engine light but it returns after a few days. Truck does <150 miles light duty a week for last year so hardly wear and tear. I understand unplugging the AGS also won't pass State Inspection. Hoping it's as an easy fix involving a computer bug, system reboot or fuse change? I cant be putting a new AGS into it every year. The AGS is in open position and I still I have the old one. All help appreciated. Thanks
SAME PROBLEM HERE ANY IDEA ?

Here’s my story. I have a 2021 1500 Limited. Back in February the U11E9 error started throwing the check engine light. The truck went into the shop in March. They attempted replacing the AGS and some of the harness connectors. After getting it back the issue came back within a few days. It made three trips to the dealership by mid April. They replaced the air dam and more connections. Still no luck. Ram opened a Star Case. I took the truck back in May and didn’t get it back until July. They replaced the PCM, starter, and the main wiring harness. I got the truck back and within two hours the check engine light returned. Ram opened another Star Case and kept the truck another four weeks. They replaced the air dam again. I drove the truck 32 miles and the light came back on. The dealership doesn’t know what to do at this point and they don’t have much faith in the Stellantis engineers. It’s back in the shop again. So far it’s been in the shop 124 days this year. From my experience, they have no idea how to fix this issue. The dealer says everything associated with that system has been replaced, so now we’re left to keep replacing parts and hoping they inadvertently fix it. I don’t have any faith in the reliability of the truck at this point. If I get a positive update I’ll let everyone know.
ANY UPDATE?

Unplug your air damn and have autozone clear the code. Done
