SGW 2025 Ram 1500 Big Horn

Mission was a success boys. 25 DT 35 inch tires changed tire size using a 21 WL model in Alfa and Autel scantool to unlock SGW. Afterwards I performed the proxy alignment and all is good! Did have to reset the bcm to get configuration mismatch codes to go away.

Oh, good. And that proxi was with witech? So regular guys should be able to at least make the changes with alfaobd and autoauth, then take it to a dealer for a proxi alignment afterwards?

As far as I can tell. I used my autoauth on a MK900-BTt autel scan tool and alfa obd with obd link MX adapter. Unlocked gateway using autel then with obdlink pod hooked up to splitter made the dynamic tire size change from 2480 to 2700. Truck was pissed off. Hooked up MDP using dealer witech subscription and was able to performed proxy alignment of all modules. The PCM was showing not aligned but I reset the BCM and all was good. Also ABS initialization obviously.

So after messing around for a bit i was able to figure out how to work on these atlantis high vehicle at home. Basically to make these BCM changes you need autoauth scanner tool like Xtool or Autel to unlock gateway and then use Alfa at same time with obd splitter cable.

Unfortunately looks like cda6 is not always able to work with all modules unless you have online access to it, idk even then if it will work with online version or if cda6 is still being updated to support new modules firmwares.

With the Chinese clone micropod you can get cda6 to work on a few modules but not all. For example, i was able to get ORC, BCM and other modules to work with cda6 but it wouldn’t even connect to some modules like BSCM(Abs) module

This is the jeep WL i was working on and replaced ORC(Srs) module and successfully programmed it but couldn’t connect to Abs module for resetting it to accept Srs module. Im guessing it’s not being recognized because this firmware is not known to the offline cda6. I was even able to Proxi align with cda6 and fix the flashing odometer surprisingly.

No matter what i did cda6 never worked for Abs initialization so i tried scanner like autel maxisys 906pro($1200). It does connect to read codes etc but fails to abs initialization. Ofc talking to tech they just have no clue and keep telling to get even more expensive scanner even though they list this as a supported function.

I gave up on these 3rd party tools and went with witech. Basically what i did was use Topdon Rlink j2534 ($200ish on sale in amazon) and witech subscription was 40$ single vin for month + 45$ tech authority for 3 days. So initial investment cost is 285$ and then 85$ after that to use witech which is somewhat reasonable.

For some reason for my 19 DT i just needed 40$ subscription since SGW is bypassed and i could do everything with the exception of connecting to radio because of bypass.

But for Atlantis vehicles it requires both the 40$ and the 45$ 3 day tech authority subscription to unlock sgw which is weird and if it’s not there basically everything is locked and is in read only mode.

So BEWARE if you are working on these Atlantis vehicles you only have 3 days to make changes even though your witech vin subscription is for a month unless you get tech authority for a month as well.

Overall changes and programming is doable with 85$ subscription service for 3 days.
