2021 to 2026 - Is it a Worthwhile Update?

I dont think its worth it to me, I have a 20 Limited that was involved in an accident in Aug (flashing left turn driver failed to yield and hit me and 2 others), it's still in the shop and now stands at 16K in repairs. I had planned on driving it for 2 more years, the remaining warranty, with no payments but this no driving b%^ch changed those plans. When insurance gave me the scope of work, I started shopping.
I bought a 25 Tungsten in Sept and yes, its superior to my Limited in every way except UC5, hate it. I love the truck but I probably wouldn't have bought one at this time if it wasn't for the accident. Is it a significant upgrade over my 20, yes. Is it enough of a difference/upgrade that I would buy one for no reason other than wanting it over the 20? No.

I have no regrets with the 25 and the HO's power is nice, the Tungsten interior is really really nice and the Klipsch system is without doubt awesome, I love the truck, just not the circumstances. I was happy with my 20 and it got a little better mileage than the 25 but that's to be expected with more power and more gear. My Limited would average about 17.5 in mixed driving (hand calc'd and the computer were nearly the same). The Tungsten averages 16.5-17 (hand calc'd) over the same route but the computer is showing 17.8. I've only filled it up twice so I need a few more times to get a better average and make sure I'm filling the tank.

I had an SO Laramie rental I had for a month, IMO, it drives better than the HO power wise, likely the 3.55 gear vs the Tungstens 3.92. The power of both was superior by far to the HEMI and the SO got better mileage than my Limited by about 1/2 mpg as well as drove better, more power everywhere.

Like I said above, If I didn't have to, there's not enough difference that I would have spent the money simply because it's new; if there were nothing wrong with my truck, I likely wouldn't have done it. If your truck has a serious problem, wear or was in an accident, I wouldn't think twice about making the change. Doing it for only for the new power increase, even with the power of both being greatly superior to the HEMI, no.
Understand though, I'm not a buy a new car person every 3-5 years either so my reasons may be different than others

Thanks. I really know absolutely nothing about extended warranties. I've never bought one on any car I've ever owned.

Plugging some quick numbers into that Zeigler site came up with $3230 for the Extended Care Premium with a $200 deductible for 3 YEARS/36,000 MILES.

I have zero clue how competitive that is. It says the truck has to have an inspection performed at a dealer.
I did a significant amount of shopping and some customer satisfaction research and chose Olive extended warranties.
Its 36 months, $100.00 deductible, very close to a factory plan and a total of $1801.00 which I pay monthly. It can also be renewed after the first 36 month term expires. Give it a look if you are interested.

It is a Hemi, non-eTorque truck. It's at the dealer now for a ticking sound that I'm hoping is just an exhaust leak. But with only three months of factory powertrain warranty remaining, I wanted to get on record, in case this progresses further. I've read that cam and/or lifter issues are not uncommon on this engine.

I haven't priced a new truck but an equivalent Laramie replacement with the options I chose on this truck would likely sticker in the high $70's (a guess). So assuming my 2021 is worth $30K (again, a guess), that's $40K to replace it with basically the same truck.
Check out "mark dodge"

Darn near unbeatable for price. Also, FYI the 26 will have more standard features but wont have everything the Laramie does. For instance I have push button start but no touch unlock. Have to use my key fob... only thing that pisses me off about mine. Plus I guess the warning light illumination service not available warning that comes and goes. I still see the warning lights working so I believe it's a software error. I've noticed the programming has "no chill" and they may not have a timer delay long enough on the alarm.

Anyway, id have waited until the 27s if I could've. Few more patches and it'll be great. Otherwise is a fantastic truck. But so is your 21.

Thanks. I'm familiar with Mark Dodge. I did a fly-n-drive to Koons when I bought the 2021.

It seems that Mark has overtaken Koons in online sales.

I'm keeping the 2021 for the time being.

Third party warranties are very risky. I wouldn't buy that.
