The Android Auto connection in my 2025 Ram 1500 stopped working for some reason. The "phone" tab is there and phone calls work fine over Bluetooth but I can't use Google maps anymore. It worked fine until 2 days ago. Any idea what might cause this?

Try deleting the phone from the truck, and the truck from your phone and reconnecting.

Or could try restarting your phone first, if you haven't done that in a while.

I bought my 2025 Ram 1500 a week ago and experiencing similar issues. The difference is Android Auto AND Bluetooth are inconsistent. Every 8-10 seconds, it's connecting or losing connection. I've tried everything from unpairing and restarting both my phone and the truck. Frustrating.

Ensure android auto has the most up to date version from Google

when in the truck we just keep it plugged in, works great that way.

You could try a reset. Just pushing hold the two big buttons on the left and right of the display for 30 seconds

AA did an update last week, week before.... anyway, there was a pop up that said it would no longer work without it. delete it from your phone and reinstall IMO

i had same issue and fixed it by resetting android auto in uconnect. simultaneously press and hold the volume and tuner buttons until screen goes black and release after you see the ram logo appear.

Hey Chris,

I'm experiencing issues with mine. Worked great on my 2025 and now it no longer loads. I've tried restarting my phone which worked for one time but then it stopped working again. I've tried restarting my phone a few times since then and I can't get it to work anymore.

Having the same issue with mine

Having the same issue, bought my RAM 2500 new last week...android auto was fine until today. It doesn't even show up on the bottom of the screen like it used to. I have unpaired, re-paired, deleted, added multiple times...nothing works. The android auto icon shows up when the apps are displayed...but nothing happens when you touch it?

now the android auto will not work

Yup, discovered this morning the phone won't pair again to the AA system. Every other time there's OTA update, it seems to require a corresponding AA update on the phone to work again. Annoying too because the messages are not helpful (try plugging in via USB is not helpful when it's already plugged in via USB). Just mysteriously didn't work this morning, then this evening AA (on the phone) finally said, oh you have to update. I'm going migrate off AA, because knowing google, they're going to stop providing updates as my phone is getting "too old", and I'm not sure that will if that will happen before or after RAM gets tired of modifying my vehicle WITHOUT MY PERMISSION!!!
