took advantage of prime day and when the jeep was on sale (saved $50 on the jeep) and paid like half off for all the jeep parts.
Used the tailgate as a work bench to disassemble, sand, reasseo, and seal my three piece drag pack wheels for my Dakota. shop that did the powder coating coated the mating surfaces so they wouldn't hold air because sealant wasn't sticking to the powder coat.

I've had an interesting few weeks with my truck. I've been dealing with an intermittent issue where I'd get a message that says Auto Start/Stop disabled, Electronic Stability Control disabled, and cruise control disabled. Some times the parking brake light would blink on and off. One time the entire digital display went out. This persisted for a few weeks. A single time here a single time there.
I was putting it together that maybe it was related to water intrusion into the cab. I'd not seen any water leaks but I know it's a common problem. Lo and behold I drove through a thunderstorm and saw a single drop come through the inside of my rear glass. So I jumped to thinking the rf module may be going bad. By now it's malfunctioning every time I drive my truck.
The final straw was the last day it happened. Truck threw a code - U00001 High Speed Can Bus and I finally had a permanent code. Did a little research and the recommendations was to remove anything connected to your OBDport. Well, I had my security bypass cable installed and had my obdlink installed as well and they'd been installed for some time.
Removed both of them and the truck has performed flawlessly. In fact it's driving better than ever. Some of that may be placebo - I know canbus is the communication standard for the truck but I'm unsure of specifically how the communication is connected - but there were little nuisance issues I was noticing (odd shifts, odd throttle responses, etc) that I feel like may have also been effected. It's also making me question getting rid of our van two years ago because I had installed a start/stop eliminator. Makes me wonder if that was causing some of the gremlins the van developed.
After reading about the failure of the dealers to fully replace the rear windows due to warranty I decided to just seal it myself. I did a combo of silicone sealant and a 7mm silicone vacuum hose. Truck has been absolutely poured on and zero leaks. I'm gonna go back and clean it up some since it's had about 24 hrs to cure.
