2025 1500 with transmission issues/disappointing

Agreed, that's my thoughts as well. Will post those when I get home from work today. I don't think I have found all of them yet, but it's a start. Thankfully I work with a bunch of gear heads in the aerospace defense industry that are also RAM fans and want to see this resolved, so I have a lot of brainpower behind getting to the bottom of this issue!

I have the same issues. It’s maddening. Dealer says it’s normal but I’ve driven several 3.0 Hurricanes and it’s far from normal. Truck drives amazing if I do the negative terminal disconnect for an hour but is back to driving like crap writhing the day. Have any of you found a fix. Please hI

another thing its crazy the surge but look at speedo still is accelerating feels like it slow down but its not .I wonder if they fixed it if it would be slower.Like i said before super slow or 3000 rpm higher shifting. I have 900 pounds in my truck bed and i get 4.7 4.8 0 60 times and it shouldn't i think the surging trucks have the wrong program in them hell demons left factory with wrong computer.

They were all as smooth as could be. I don’t know what to do. It’s maddening. I’m praying that Ram has a fix here. About to lose my mind.

I’m so sick of this! Truck drives like absolute crap! According to the dealer, nothing is wrong… I’ve driven 3 different SST Rams at this point and one of them had 4000 miles on it. They were all as smooth as could be. I don’t know what to do. It’s maddening. I’m praying that Ram has a fix here. About to lose my mind.

Well, I don't have a '25 but I just had my '22's transmission replaced and it seems to have solved the issues. I've only driven it a couple times but it didn't exhibit the symptoms it previously had other than just economy mapping.

Any dealer that won't just do warranty work is either stupid or hates money, because warranty work pays their bills. Take it to another dealer, force a tech to ride with you and recreate the problem for them so there is no denying it.

I finally got to the dealer near me to update the TCM on 5/14. (TSB-21-015-25; Thanks Jinx1009 for posting!) They were able to duplicate the issue and performed the flash. As of today and 200 miles on the update, it seems to be shifting more smoothly without the clunks as noted before, though I'm still feeling a "nudge" on the 2-3-4 and 4-3-2 transitions. One interesting thing to note it was pouring rain when I picked up the truck from the dealer and quite cold out at 42 degrees. The next day was considerably warmer and the shifts were still consistent in their "feel" weather cold or hot. Fingers crossed this is a good sign. Going to put more miles on it this weekend and will see if this is the fix I was hoping for; stay tuned. Oh, and I have not gotten the truck up on ramps yet to find the remaining ground points. The one's I have pics of in an earlier post are all I have found to date.

There is a middle rpm it don't like below 2200 rpm shifts are fine if shifting higher rpm when it grabs next gear it has to be above 2200 rpm or its harsh and surgie . Clunk i have owned 10 ram trucks in 20 years some have done it some have not but when driving slow i always push gas pedal softly when first pushing so there is no clunk. What's crazy in the winter no problems and when unhooking batteries 200 mile perfect even if its hot out. GOOD LUCK TO ALL.

After about 300 miles of decent operation after the TSB flash on 5/14, it's back to severe clunking operation up/down in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear transitions. I've also had a check engine light on twice, not wanting to shift out of park after shutoff from a hiway drive and continued acceleration even when I lift off throttle in 1st or 2nd gear around town. It's definately getting worse and to the point now where I don't feel it's safe to drive around town. It's back to the dealer after the holiday break to see if there is a fix for it yet as it doesn't appear the software updates are addressing the root cause of the issue. This is getting very frustrating for sure!

That's not safe. Also when its hot out putting ac on makes the issues even worse. Keep me posted good luck.
