And no one says anything to him?I’m sorry I had to reply to this.
I realize a lot of peeps hate HOAs, however, if you lived next door to the trashy axx dude I live next to, you’d pray for one! I live out of the city limits in Joshua, Tx and this clown next door for almost 20 years hasn’t painted, planted a bush or shrub, tossed some white axx dusty rock as a driveway that gets all over my cars and truck daily, and continues to make our nice neighborhood look worse and worse regularly! Nicest guy in the world, but dumb as a box of rocks! Has no clue what his filthyness does to all our home values. So many things I wanna say about him here but it’ll get taken down quickly. So count your blessings for your HOA. Wish I had one!
New wrap in the future??
I remember when you did that but I thought it was only a year ago...

Degree of effort required? Much of a mess post-install?I installed the Chulk's heater bypass.
I've had this truck a couple years now and never liked how hot the trans ran, especially when towing the rv. It was never below 170 or thereabouts when just out and about.
Yesterday I took it out for the the first drive. We live out in the country and I needed to run pick a few things up at the closest store, about a 20 mile round trip with two stop offs.
It was 80 degrees, not too humid. Average speed would have been about 50mph.
The trans temp never got above148 degrees.
This to me is the best best addition I've done to the truck!
I’d get your wheel alignment checked. You may not notice anything when driving, but it may show up later with premature tire wear. Just a thought.I nailed a curb today. I mean, pretty damn good too. Luckily it was straight on at super low speeds, but I heard it and gave that "oooof" face immediately.
As I was pulling out into the street to turn into that driveway there are vehicles on both sides of me parked on the curbs and oncoming traffic that turned onto the road just after I did wasn't slowing to let me through so they could squeeze by so I had to stop and they got all aggressive like I was supposed to move for them to get by. There was zero space and if I had turned onto that road after they did I would have waited until they passed to put myself in that position - or even if I saw them turning onto the road at all, but nope, too late I was already there and they should have just let me turn in. Too much for their ego to handle apparently. They even did a small jerk of the wheel towards me as they aggressively squeezed passed. So that's why I really nailed it, I was a bit distracted by a moron. I hate other drivers and I hate bad roads.
Got out, checked everything out, turned the wheels etc etc... All seems okay but definitely not a good hit for the CV's or the wheel. Watched the dash cam and that poor passenger in their truck was clearly on my side of things too. She just kinda made that petrified face and grabbed the dash and the "oh" handle. Sorry lady... your husbands a DB. Wanna guess what the bumper stickers were too?

Ideally you want to trans temps to run between 160-180. This allows the fluid to get hot enough to gas off any water that may be interesting the fluid. Too cold is just as bad for the transmission and fluid as too hot. My truck with the new PPE pan will run about 170-175 under normal driving. I haven't towed anything since it was installedI installed the Chulk's heater bypass.
