What did you do to your Ram today???

Story of my life too! I always read posts about people complaining about the sound quality and half wonder what im missing. 🤷‍♂️
I have a 2005 TJ Rubicon that has a 6 disc CD changer. The factory bass speaker is blown, I guess??? I'm not a radiofile 🤷‍♂️ Well, I'm just not tech savvy. I took the antenna off because I don't listen to broadcast radio and have a small Bluetooth speaker I use when traveling to off road trails. I don't usually listen to music while wheeling, I like to hear the sounds of the trails and my jeep.

I have an 05 LJR as well. The subwoofer in the center console is pretty easy to change out.

IMHO, not much.

I use Pandora exclusively now days. Way too much effort to find great quality music and I prefer the sound of the Hemi above all else lol.

I've also had hearing damage from deployments so I can't even wear headphones in one ear anymore.

The Alpine system is more than enough for me. And way better than FORD's B&O crap.

Really excited for this one! My biggest regret on my 2021 is not having wireless android connection that is offered on Uconnect 5 systems starting in 2022. View attachment 198832
Yes it was really disappointing to know we couldn’t update it to make it wireless. How does the Adapter work? Been pondering whether to get one or not

Spotify premium gives you 320kbps / CD quality sound and is not too expensive. You can spend more for lossless or other better steaming services, but hardly anyone will have a system in their vehicle where the benefits can be detected; certainly not a stock system. IMHO of course.

Works pretty good, but I unplug it when getting out at home to avoid connecting to it while I'm the house. Regardless, worth the $40 or so.

Did a log hit it? With all the exploring you've done if that's all you got you've very successful
a friggin sign post.
i was making a u-turn after the scout walked the entire 0.5 miles to see if the steep climb is doable and the proposed campsite was worth it and the verdict was yes trail's doable not much going on there but it was 35mph+ nonstop wind at the campsite, so we made the decision to turn around and go to the secondary campsite.

the damn sign post was hidden in the brush, didn't see it at all when i was walking around. heard a loud scratch and then one of the guys was like "watch out eric!"
well too late lol

i have all kinds of pin stripes on the side, that bottom side way dot on the door went through the paint but the long streak should buff out.

my friend was like "i was yelling you didn't hear me?" and i was like "bro, that's why you have a radio. use it"
good thing is the slider pushed the post away further so minimal damage, and the Steel It I applied on the slider barely had any damage.

same. im happy with my H&K
i don't blast music loud and I listen to XM and spotify.
i've been listening to podcasts since Alaska so i don't even notice sound quality anyways.

Where do you get this stand from I like that
his is bulletpoint
but you can buy from ICS which is made in US and use 67Design arms and mounts.
67D is the original and made in US (in Texas) and is honest if there's foreign components used.

Today was the transfer case fluid and brake fluid change

By chance do you have the BW48-11? I'm going to plan for September to do my diffs and t-case ut just curious on the fluid used for the t-case. I'll probably get the Mopar specific Mobil LT and use Amsoil for the difs. And after seeing some of these posts on the fluid for brake flushes in like 4 short years I'll probably do that as well. Stuff looks grimey. How was yours?

Got it from Bulletpoint. They have two styles. This one is good for everything but offroad.
Why would you say that it’s not good for off-road?
I’ve used Bulletpoint mounts on my Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator with no issues what so ever. It even held my tablet without a hiccup.

I have the base audio, wanted to try something cheap for better sound. So installed the kenwood 6x9 +3.5 component set and JBL 3 ways in rear 2.3ohm. Found a Infinity dsp amp on ebay, factory refurbished for $79. At work last night, I used a anc ch01 harness, connected the wires from radio into the Infinity dsp amp and the speaker wires out to speakers. Used the yellow power wire and ground on the anc ch01 harness. The Infinity amp is 15amp, the anc in truck is 25amp so should be fine. Plugged into truck and worked, now tuning the system, is done on laptop through USB. In future I can use the infinity amp as a dsp for my entire system and it becomes a line driver, the speaker level inputs did not require resistors. It's louder now than my old 13 Ram with alpine system and the alpine system i replaced all doors and dash with Infinity speakers. If I add a subwoofer I would just need to run power and ground and connect to the rca's on the dsp amp or if i don't want to use the 35 watts per channel from the amp, can add amps and use the dsp from the infinity. Total invested right now, Kenwood 6x9+3.5 components, $200, JBL 3 way back doors $85, anc ch01 $15, infinity dsp 4425 $79 ebay, $30 for some sheets of butyl sound deadening and $20 for some self stick closed cell foam to keep door rattle down. Less than $450. Amp seems good enough for me, getting old and need to keep my hearing. Was literally plug and play, all wiring was done inside and just went out and plugged the 2 connectors in from anc in and anc out
