I’m in the planning stages of lowering my ‘22 bighorn crew cab 6’4” bed 4x4. Currently I have Bilstein 6112’s raising the front and Bilstein springs in the rear. I’d like to run belltech spindles and utilize the 6112’s in the stock height ring land and in the rear use timber grove bags with a spohn pan hard bar and the Bilstein 5100’s from the ranger people use.

Have the spindles been improved? I keep seeing people having issues with fitment. I have 20” night edition wheels currently that I plan to use at least until the rubber is worn out (only 2,000 miles on the factory Bridgestones being I ran TRX take offs while raised up)

Will the 6112’s fit fine with the belltech spindles?

Im just worried with all of the negative things I keep seeing about belltech that I will regret that decision, but I’d like to keep factory control arms and struts for replacement in the future instead of needing to wait for replacements from online retailers like maxtrac or belltech.

Stock height struts should work fine if you use the Belltech spindles. As far as any updates to the spindles, I have not seen any post here regarding that. Which TG bags do you plan on using? You might look into Ridetech. Their kits are adjustable so you can adjust ride height and rebound, allowing you to “tune” the ride to your liking. You can get the full kit or just the front coilovers and control arms and do whatever you want in the rear.

I’ve actually followed all of the stuff on your build. I like the looks a lot. I ordered the 2” drop spindles, TG 4” low rear crm bags ( 09'-UP RAM 1500 4" Low Rear CRM Air Spring Kit (SQ8419421) — Timber Grove Enterprises, LLC ) rear adjustable spohn track bar, rear 5100 shocks from the 90’s rangers. I’m going to see if I can use the bushing from my 5160 shocks I have installed currently. If they won’t work I’ll order the maxtrac bushings.

Attached a picture of how it is currently.

SVT40 used the Belltech spindles. You might message him to see if he has any addition tips.

Yeah, I saw that too. He went up to 22” wheels. I’m not quite ready for that being I have brand new tires on my 20” wheels I was going to run off before getting 22’s. He had zero clearance with the factory 20” wheels around the spindles, I was hoping that got addressed being they don’t even make the spindles for the factory 22” wheels.

Kind of makes you wonder how much actual R&D went into the development of their products. All of these issues don’t evoke a lot of confidence.

Exactly. I’m going to try it and hopefully the fixed the problems. If not I’ll see if they’ll accept it back and I’ll go with maxtrac. I just would rather be able to utilize the factory control arms and struts for ease of getting repair parts down the road and proper alignment angles.
