2025 RAM 1500 gateway security module location???

Does anyone know where the 2025 RAM 1500 gateway security module is located ?
I looked and it's not where it was for my 2023 Laramie.
I've heard that for 2025 making changes might be a problem with Alfaobd.

Making changes isn't a problem, it's an impossibility. The canbus is encrypted. Until someome breaks the encryption, it's impossible with AlfaOBD.

Wow that sucks! I wanted to disable the fog light dropout when using high beams.
 
I wonder how companies like Infotainment and Z automotive will deal with the new architecture.

I also wanted to enabled the security alarm since Rebel Level 1 Equipment Group doesn't include it.
It does have remote start so maybe I could have the dealer add option code LSA (Security Alarm) to my vehicle config.
 
I hope someone will come out with something soon. I wanted to do the dropout for fogs and also change the day time running lights to the fogs.(I believe we could do that with previous models)
Was also looking for an option to change out the taillights to LED's and buy some factory taillights.

The Jeep (Cherokee?) has had this encrypted canbus for awhile and still nothing.

You are right, my wife's 23 Grand Cherokee is locked and I haven't heard any news about anybody doing anything for that one.

Now I wish I would have went with the 2024 Hemi haha. I love mods!

I wouldn’t say “encrypted” is the right word for it. It’s just a different configuration, same as 2014-2023 Jeep Cherokee, Jeep renegade, wagoneer, Ram ProMaster, etc. It uses a Proxi configuration instead of a PowerNet config like we’re used to seeing (powernet uses a different message ID for each section of settings like VehConfig 1,2,3…, whereas proxi uses one message ID for the whole bcm configuration). If you check out the car configuration change section in alfaobd for a KL jeep Cherokee, you’ll see how the settings structure is different.
This isn’t a challenge for alfaobd to set up, it’s just the security gateway is more complicated now. There are no star can junction blocks that all the modules all tie together through anymore, they are all daisy chained together on several different buses, and all go through that gateway now.
And it’s not like you can just tap into the can wires that the BCM is on to bypass and make the changes, because after the changes are made, a proxi alignment procedure needs to be performed, which requires connecting to, and aligning each individual module.

A couple of years ago I enabled the factory security alarm on my wife's 2019 Jeep KL Cherokee using Alfaobd.
The security alarm worked after making the change but the dash lit up like a Christmas tree and I could not clear it.
I took it to the dealer where they performed a "proxy alignment procedure" and that remedied the dash light issue.
Luckily for me the security alarm was still enabled and worked even after the dealer did the "proxi alignment procedure".

I found a YT Video where the 2 lead engineers that worked on the 2025 RAM DT discuss the changes and the new "Atlantis High" electrical architecture see it at 7:38.

Just traded up to a 2025 ORP and love the truck, but now my plans to throw on Bilsteins w tires and reprogram the new diameter may have to shift. On my last 5th gen Hemi Ram my dealer was not able/willing to reprogram tire size, I believe they weren't able to do so for the 2" Mopar lift and the 285's they installed for me, so I just learned how to use AlfaOBD.

Has anyone heard if the dealerships have capability to reprogram tire sizes for the 2025 1500?
 
I'm not sure the dealer can. Any options are driven by 3 digit sales code that are applied to your vin.
They can only apply the sales code if your trim level/model would have been a option for it initially.
The dealer is very limited as to what can be enabled on your vehicle.

For me I would like to have them add sales code LSA to my vin to enable the security alarm.
