33 x 12.5 R22 ridge grapplers installed on Stock 22” limited wheels

Love this thread as I just purchased my first RAM (2021) 1500 and looking to update the tire set up. Really want to go with the BFG K02 in the 33x12.5 22... sounds like a little rub would need to be addressed. THANKS!

I have 22" wheels on my Sport model. Debating if I should sell them or keep them. View attachment 55801
I have those wheels as well on my 2020 with 2 inch lift. I will keep them for now, install the 33x12.5x22 with a 2"in spacer and see if I like it. If not fuel wheels will be on the cart.

Congrats on the truck, 35’s will rub, I put 33x12.5 r22’s on my stock Limited 22’s and it rubs slightly at times
Hello, this my first time on this forum. So this is all new to me. I was hoping you would know if i can put 305/45R22 on a stock rim. I have a 2021 1500 limited with the auto leveling system. Current tires are at 285/45R22. Will it rub only in entry exit mode? Or will it rub at all. Thanks

Looks great! What tires are those?
Have a 21 sport, been thinking of doing the same but hesitant on potential rubbing.

I have 305/45/22 Nitto Recon Grapplers on mine and I dont rub, granted I have a front leveling kit, but even stock height not sure they would rub. These are only like .6 inches taller than the stock tires.

I put 305/45R22 Toyo Open Country on my ‘22 Limited and have not gotten any rubbing.

Sorry as I know this is an old thread, but for those that went with 33 x 12.5 x 22, did you really see a 3-4 mpg hit?

I only saw 1-2 mpg hit with Toyo OC AT3 305/45R22 XL (32.8" x 12"). The XL is lighter weight yielding better mpg and ride quality.

From what I've read in forum, the 33x12.5x22 LT are considerably heavier and echibit poorer mileage than stock or XL.

If you want the taller wider performance and dont need the heavy tire, consider the 305/45. Mine have done well offroad when needed, but spend most on pavement, boat ramps, and dirt/grass.

Just replying as this is old thread... maybe someone with 33x12.5 x22 experience can comment better.

Thanks! Any chance you could share more pics of the 305/45/22s you have?

Here's some pics I have on my phone now with current Toyo Open Country AT3... dirty during hurricane cleanup.
I can share some more tomorrow when I get home... its been detailed with tire shine on Toyo OC AT3 since these pics.
I also added some older pics with Nitto Ridge Grapplers.
Toyos grip better on wet pavement... both work well off road.
All pics are 305/45R22.
1500 Limited, stock air suspension. Little rub at wheel lock.
