Go look at a truck on the dealer lot or showroom with the receiver. My truck has the tubular bit that sits laterally so I think you just need to bolt on a receiver. Do you have the wiring hookups?
I believe there is a recall for the rear camera not displaying when you reverse. I don’t remember the details and always refused the update since I never saw the issue. Just search it up.

It isn’t a world of difference, but I found the coils to be bouncier on roads with undulations. A big benefit is that with a load, the truck will level out - say with a trailer hitched up. I also like being able to raise the truck without a jack to get under for oil changes.
