Damn. I wish I had thought of this or seen it before I put mine in the little plastic things on the bottom of the bumper (where your reverse sensors are). Great idea!
yep. Stock wheels. I took my time rounding out the corners of the wheel well liners a little at a time to get them to a simple radius instead of the stock hard 90 shape that was catching the edge of the tire, and ended up with this:
It's close... 1/4" to 1/2". But I drove around doing figure eights with the windows down and the radio off after getting all my trimming done to erify I was good and then looked at the inside of the tire again and saw no evidence of rubbing. I was super concerned at first because I flat out...
Just had a 2" level installed on Friday and 35x15r20 Nitto's put on yesterday. UCA is free and clear on both sides, no spacers. I did have to do a little trimming of the fender liner but it was pretty minor. I have a set of 1.5" bolt on, hub centric spacers sitting here that I'm not sure if I'm...
cut a small slit on the top of the heater hose where it's stuck on, then cut that end off once it's loose. You end up losing less than an inch of hose. You can still remove the valve later and reconnect the hose back to factory and no one will notice.
Thanks! But actually that solenoid is normally open. I figured the "safest" thing to do was have it fail back to stock configuration if something goes wrong. With my luck, I'd be driving down a rutted dirt road on the way back from a hunting trip in January and something would pop loose and I'd...
well... FOR NOW it's coming from an add-a-fuse in circuit 65 under the dash. It was late, I don't stay up late anymore, and I couldn't figure out why the switched circuits I had tested the day before weren't working with the truck in ACC but not on. So I went to the thread on here where the...
Finished swapping the manual valve for a solenoid last night. It took entirely too long, due in part to it being pitch dark outside and it taking forever for me to find a suitable switched hot circuit. Anyhow, for your viewing pleasure:
A humid August night is probably the worst time...
1) AC is lousy. Calling it adequate is giving poor design a pass.
2) Does the RAM logo on the tailgate really have to be larger than an interstate sign? AND recessed so we can't even remove it?
3) I had a $20,000 Hyundai that came with keyless/passive entry and remote start, and they can't...
Can anyone identify what would plug in to this portion of this panel? I'm thinking of locating the switch for my solenoid valve in this location, but I don't want to screw myself later down the line if there's an upgrade that goes here that I may want. Thanks in advance!
I just had a thought... has anyone tried adding an additional dual voice coil speaker to the hole we have in the center, and wiring it in series to the dash speakers for a total of 8 ohms?
Can someone please verify the mounting depth of the front door 6x9's? According to Crutchfield, 6x9's don't fit at all, which doesn't make any sense to me since that's what the factory speakers are....
I have the valve and the switch on my desk and plan on changing out my manual valve to the solenoid this weekend. Any chance I could get a pic of where you installed your switch? I was thinking below the power pedal adjustment switch, but I'd love to see what you did before I go drilling holes...
