Similar disappointment with my garage as well. My 4th gen fit fine, but unfortunately the 5th gen's are just a little bit longer. The 360 camera does help with getting it in at an angle though...

The circlip and your spring seat adapter look flush, so it would appear that it is installed correctly by looking at it. Unfortunately I don't have any user experience in different ride qualities with regard to different settings. I'll be curious to hear whether you notice any change as you drop...

I installed my set of 5100's myself, so I can sympathize in being unsure as to whether the shop did it correctly or not. But here are 2 pictures I took of mine, which hopefully can hopefully help determine whether the Spring Seat, and the Spring Seat Adapter have been installed correctly. Also...
