Oh my bad, I don’t know why, I was thinking you had the power boards. Yes, the tube steps are high as I had them on previous 1500s. Good luck with your search. I will say that power boards are so much more useful, but they do come with a price!
Is your truck lifted? I have a ‘22 1500 with air ride and the off road package ( truck sits 1” higher ) and I find them to be a good height.
Amp did have extended ones that would do what you want (if they still make them), but you will lose the integration with the radio that the factory boards...
When I had a 2018 Ram 2500 with the Cummins, I was able to idle it up using the cruise control switches if I remember correctly. Don’t know if it would apply to a gasser though.
Let me say I always look forward to reading anything that Jimmy07 posts. It is always very informative and useful to me, well it is with my ‘22 using ALFA-OBD.
I got about 1/2 through this write up and my head started spinning—HaHa! I think my brain needs a “proxi alignment”!
I do have a ‘25...
My ‘22 Longhorn had the same thing from new, it was on the top edge of the passenger door. Didn’t see it until sometime later. Took it to a body shop, told me they would try to block it first, but said it may need to be repainted. It ended up being repainted, paid for under the warranty.
My ‘21...
Depending on the trim line he’s talking about, Hydro Blue may not be an option. IMO, I was all about the Forged Blue until I had a Wagoneer as a loaner. I found the color boring. White with the Night Pkg. is nice, or Red is nice.
It sounds like you had a cell go bad in the battery. I experienced this when I tried to jump start a Cat extendable forklift. I have a NOCO jump pack. I put it on and normally a low battery will fire up the engine after a couple of minutes. This time was different and I noticed my jump pack was...
Another waste of electronics being forced on us. Hey Ram, just make it an option, so if a buyer wants it, great. Not any good for the driver, just passengers. I can just tell Siri where I want to go if I need directions. 95% of my driving is solo, I just want the glove box.
I watched some...
Funnymunny, for a simple bedmat, check out Tractor Supply. Also, getting tint on the front windshield has caused problems for some. Check into that before going ahead with it. There’s been threads on this.
IF you know any Ram dealer service techs/ writers, take the VIN # and have them check to see any service/repairs done at any CJDR dealers. There will be a record showing any problems that were dealt with.
Here’s my thought about eTorque. I had the option when I ordered my ‘22 Longhorn truck. Relatively a new thing then, but a friend of mine had a ‘21 with eTorque. Talked to him and he liked how smooth the start/stop worked. So I opted for the eTorque.
Fast forward a couple of years, we all know...
