I traded in my 2019 Bighorn on my 2022 Laramie 3 years ago and regretted it almost immediately. Don’t get me wrong, I like my truck, it’s just the payment that I don’t like! At this point in my life, paid off is really appealing! Having a new truck is great, but it wears off pretty quickly! 😝 I...
I love my 2022 regular (non-etorque) HEMI, and I don’t plan on buying a new truck for many, many years. I frankly don’t care if a 3.0 TT is a couple of tenths faster in the 1/4 mile! 😆
I will clarify this for you right now.
You DO need the harness.
You DO NOT need to chance any settings to make them work correctly.
I personally did the swap several years ago on my 2019 Big Horn.
Retroshop has step-by-step installation instructions on their website.
Yes. It was just like the first day I bought the truck. It took like 10 mins and resolved the issues I was having.
I’m not saying it will work for everyone but it’s definitely worth a try.
At least once every other day or so my Uconnect would not boot up correctly. The screen would say...
I will say It again. My truck had these exact symptoms.. at least every other day, “Updating… “ .. Screen bouncing up and down…. Most of the buttons missing.. I did the soft reset (long press power button, or whatever it is..) and it would fix it for a day or so, but it would always return. I...
This same exact thing happened to my truck.. I tried the soft reboot numerous times but that didn’t fix it, so I reset it to factory defaults and set it all up again, and it has not happened since.
It requires a lot of work and a lot of money to swap in Limited LED headlights. The front grill and fascia are different compared to Big Horns and Laramies. There are a few posts on here detailing what is involved if you search for it. I personally wouldn’t bother. I would just go with the OEM...
Yes, they're noisy when they're brand new, and they only get worse. I just replaced mine at 48k miles and think they were overdue. I went with Firestone Destination A/T and so far I like them. They are not quite as aggressive looking as the Duratracs, but they're super quiet and much smoother. I...
My truck has done this exact same thing three times this week (loading.... screen bouncing around, no icons available - only CarPlay is available, can't go to climate, apps, camera. etc.)
I never had an issue before that. It goes away by itself eventually. Sometimes a soft reset fixes it...
The same thing has happened to me 3 times in the last week. However, I have the 8" screen . Reset sometimes makes it come back, other times it doesn't. Next day it's working again.
2022 Laramie, Uconnect 5 with Nav.
Twice this week, when I started my truck, the splash screen showed “Updating” for several minutes and eventually the only thing that loaded was CarPlay. No other icons appeared on the screen. Couldn’t access Media, Comfort, Cameras, etc., just CarPlay...
I’ve given them enough of a chance, I just don’t like them. In my opinion, the least attractive angle of 5thgens has always been head-on, and I feel like all they did was deform them even more and it further accentuates the look that I’m just not cray about. If that makes sense? Plus those huge...
