Lets See Your BackCountry Trim Trucks!!

I've read that in other parts of the forum- the counterpoint is usually that there are a lot of 5.7-powered cop cars that idle most of the day that have no problems. Can't hurt to limit that though. Idling absolutely will destroy your fuel economy, because it contributes time at 0 MPG to...

3.21 etorque, I’m averaging 17-18 mixed driving but I’ve done highway trips (65-70 mph) around 20.5

Did you just swap in LED elements instead of the halogen bulbs or the whole headlight assembly? I know that pic looks like the stock headlights, but I wasn't sure if the pic was before or after.

did those tires rub on the stock suspension? Do they rub with RC 3.5? I was under the impression if we go any wider on tires than stock, we need to decrease(?) the offset of the wheels. but if that's not the case, I'd definitely go with that size when my tires are done...

    Front Air Dam Removal

Did you guys remove the electronic actuator? I just removed the AAD, but left the actuator on and plugged in. I figure it'll lower the mounting brackets at speed, but I removed it for low speed clearance and the brackets aren't in the way when they aren't deployed.

    Front Air Dam Removal

You removed both air dams or air dams and active grille shutters? That warning looks like nothing to do with the air dams (or the grille shutters for that matter). You should probably google that warning.

I plan on eventually leveling mine and I've kind of decided on Bilstein 5100 front struts. They can level the ORG up to 2" supposedly. That's what I put on my 2001 tacoma and they're pretty nice. Question is whether or not to get the Mopar UCAs. I've seen all kinds of opinions from "you...

I don't have a sunroof, but I'm not 100% I have led interior lighting. We're talking about like dome lights and whatnot right?

To those that have removed the AAD

just the skid plate, but it's aussie dollars so who knows that is in real money lol

To those that have removed the AAD

I would like to get something, but I don't think the rebel/trx one would work since the bumper without it is shaped like a pretend rebel skid plate. Interested to see if you find anything. Closest I found was an australian company that made one for the DS for $1800.

Lol I can’t stand the chrome, that’s why I went with a backcountry instead of just getting the off-road package. We’ll see if I still like painted bumpers after my first real off-road adventure with it though….

To each their own, but I would point out that the TRX, ZR2, and Raptor, the most expensive trucks in their segment, all have black grilles, so I feel like that stigma might be a bit outdated.

Thanks! That’s VVIVID high gloss black. Doesn’t quite match the diamond black pearl, but only because it doesn’t have flake. The shade is exactly the same. Plastidip was my backup plan and it would have been way less work. Took me 9 hours.
