You're absolutely right that the shark antenna has nothing to do with the locking ,unlocking, remote start or any relation to how the key fob is received. The Fobs are only reporting to the RF Hub. @vincentw56 explained it right. You might check with your dealer and have them replace the RF Hub.

Even a FOB can start your truck without a battery in it. If the FR Hub is working, just push the start button with your dead FOB and it will start.
