It's my wife's truck and she is a realtor that puts quite a few miles on and gas mileage was more of a priority. I have a Laramie 4x4 if we need to go off road or tow more. Honestly, the 3.6 seems to have plenty of power, just doesn't have the nice sound that the Hemi has...
Well, I figured I'd give a final update to my saga....lol. We ended up grabbing tickets with United on the 18th to fly home on the 19th, 7pm flight. Woke up on the 19th, and got the call from Mark Dodge that the truck was in at about 9:30 that morning. Pretty stoked getting the call,.we were...
I did, it was a calculated risk since I have a brother i wanted to see in Lake Charles anyways, and the kids had the week off for spring break. I figured the chances were pretty good that they would get the truck 1.5 hours down the road in 11 days...
Thanks for that info, definitely helps my decision. I would like to rent a car, but they seem all out now stock too...really weird. Might just bite the bullet and fly I guess...
Yeah, that's exactly what I'd be using for...just a way home instead of buying 4 last minute one way flights. The tax definitely sucks and is a potential issue, I think the license fees would be refunded by AZ, but I'd have to double check.
I am currently in Lake Charles to pick up the Longhorn I ordered in September that arrived in Port Allen on the 8th. Well, the time has come to drive home, fly the family in one way for the week to visit family and the plan was to drive back the new truck. Well, the truck still hasn't arrived...
I spoke with someone at Mark and they told me they were entirely unable to do anything at all as far as what happened at the port. I'm hoping what your saying is true, I'm actually in Lake Charles for a trip this week and was really hoping the truck would be ready to drive home after at most 11...
Mine was due in on the 8th on the train as well. We gave family in Lake Charles so we decided to roll the dice and take a spring break trip from the 13th -18th to pick up the new RAM. Stopped into Mark yesterday and it sounded like the truck still hadn't been off loaded from the train after 5...
I thought this day may never come....now just hoping it makes it to Lake Charles without any delays or hiccups. Hopefully that March truck month rebate is sweet too!
