I’m pretty much in your exact situation. I do a lot of duck hunting, so dark boat ramps are the norm. The stock reverse lights prioritize the backup camera, which is useless to me when backing up a trailer in the dark.
I’ve been looking at the Diode Dynamics reverse light kit for the rear...
My experience with the 5100’s was zero difference between Bilstein’s estimated lift heights (based on the clip number selected and projected on the heavier Hemi) and my marginally lighter V6 gas engine. Bilstein’s table said clip 3 would give a Hemi 1500 1” of lift in the front and I got the...
I don’t have experience with the 6112, but did install 5100’s front and rear including rear Bilstein springs. Here is my post on it: Bilstein 5100 Completed (Front and Rear)
I set the front on clip # 3 and swapped out the stock front springs for ORP springs. Gave me 2” of lift in the front.
On the rear, I replaced stock springs with Bilstein springs, giving me 1” of rear lift.
Here are my measurements before on stock wheels/tires 275/55/20:
Rear pass 38 3/4”...
I’m debating between 1” rear spacers vs 1” rear springs and leaning towards the spacers. Do you think there are any disadvantages when going with the rear spacers?
Looks awesome! I’ve been eyeing those same wheels in bronze, but seeing the matte black look so good on your truck has reconsidering (my truck is diamond black too).
How was wheel fitment around the brake calipers with the 18’s? Any issues with wheel weights clearing the calipers?
Thanks for...
Has anyone installed Bilstein 5100’s to lift the front of their V6 Ram? Aside from getting slightly more lift at each stop ring location (without the weight of the V8) is their any reason why they wouldn’t work?
Not saying you’re wrong here, but the front curb weight difference between V6 and V8 4x4’s is 190lbs. That’s not a huge difference. Are the spring rates really that different? I never confirmed this myself, but I read on one of the forums that the spring part numbers are the same between V6...
There is a thread on the first page here where a member details his true duel exhaust install on a V6. Looked like it turned out nicely, you should take a look at it.
Thanks for this info. Looks great! Also curious how the sound is, any drone? Did you angle the tips down slightly to work with the V6 bumper? I thought I would need to get a new bumper to run this setup, but this looks very clean.
