That is not true. What you received is very misleading. Plug in a trailer and blind spot detection turns off on the 2500/3500. This is from personal experience and verified as appropriate action by the dealership.
I picked up my 3500 yesterday as well. Already noticed a screw missing holding on the front passenger door trim and now my backup camera has gone out. I can see the front and sides in the 360 view but the rear camera shows black.
I had mine 22 hours when the camera failed. I also found the passenger side front door panel is missing screws to hold it to the door. Not an auspicious start for this truck. But at least we can warn others about what to expect.
Thank you. I suspected as much, but the description was a bit vague since it only says it includes the holes in the bed (and not the underbed system). Since I had a 2017 and a 2018 with the same sales code I will rest a bit more comfortably until it arrives Monday.
The description of this package on the RAM website is a bit confusing - "This option provides mounting holes for a fifth wheel hitch and for a gooseneck ball, covers for these mounting holes, and a bed mounted 7-pin connector". It makes it sound as if it only has holes in the bed and the wiring...
