Just to bring this full circle, I brought the truck in for the six month service and oil change today and the service advisor was able to flash the computer to remove the ding, but not the warning that comes up on the cluster. While I wish we could do it ourselves i’m happy with the results...
Not sure if it helps but I at least share in your pain. I also can’t turn it off on my new 23 but was able to do it for my 19 no problems. If you have any success, let me know because that darn alarm really pisses me off.
The difference between stock +19 and 0 is 3/4” further out, if you do the -18 it would be 1.46”. Go to tiresize.com/wheel-offset-calculator if you want to play around a bit.
Let me know how it goes, i wanted to try it myself as well but the parts guy talked me out of it......said it needed to be done by a body shop. I also paused on replacing the door handles due to not wanting to take the doors apart and risk rattles and squeaks breaking the factory seal.....

Yes, took a bit of tinkering but i got it figured out. Drivers side came off easier, i didnt seperate the motor but I was trying to be more careful with it. I ended up using a plastic trim tool to pop them off from the top, prying at the center top of the mirrors. All in all its done, no...
