Thinking of getting alfaOBD mainly for the ability to look at the control modules for troubleshooting (currently experiencing intermittent Service 4WD messages). Started reading the 113 pages after having no luck with the search, and I have a couple questions for the gurus:
Truck is custom...
In case you are still looking for rear ORP spring PN- my 2019 Laramie quad cab 6'4" bed with ORP has PN 68262686AB springs on it. Other cofigurations may have different PN (Crew cab, 5'7" box, etc.).
Assuming you saw the nice chart that JRW323 posted on page 2 of this thread. The springs have...
When stock my truck would run 203 when moving but I have seen temps as high as 224 when stopped in traffic. I changed the stat to a 190 last fall, it would run 192 all day when moving but since the fan didn't start until it hit 216 or so I would still see the high temps when not moving. The tune...
I completely removed the AGS yesterday, left the motor plugged in. No CEL's yet. I had already installed a 190 thermostat, but the shutters were still trying to achieve 203+ degrees so the truck would run at 190-192 when moving but creep up to 215 when not moving, at that point the fan would...
You might want to think about the 1-3/4" tubes.
Figure out where you want to be with your warranty before you spend a couple thousand on headers. I have ARH longtubes with cats and I could not get it to run without codes. Had to use the tune to eliminate the codes. Not a problem for me, as I was...
Screws into sheetmetal or plastic parts? I was leaning to the Husky's too, the Weathertech ones are nice but I don't like how the Ram ones look. My buddy has them on a Furd and they look good.
So I installed a Vibrant 1135 oval muffler today and it really knocked the sound level down! It is installed upstream from my Borla Pro XS muffler which replaced the Touring catback muffler. Sound levels in the cab are very livable now, even WOT. Still very throaty but much more civilized...
Yes it is noticeable. Also insanely loud with a Borla touring catback! Install was not that bad except for the oil dipstick issue. You need to bend the dipstick tube so it goes between the pipes. You need to install the dipstick tube and the header together, trial and error to see if it is going...
You should get the code read if it comes back. If its P0420 or P0430 cat efficiency you might fix it with O2 sensor spacers. Custom tune, tuner, and unlocked PCM is expensive and could void your warranty.
I was getting P0133 mostly, a couple times it also had P0430. Do you have cats?
The P0133 is slow response from the first O2 sensor. Some people say that the sensor being further from the engine causes it, and the tuners can tweak something that will fix it. I don't know what he did, but Jay...
So I had a Borla Touring catback, and added a 6 x 14 round Magnaflow to it to quiet it down. Then I put ARH headers with high flow cats on and had to remove the Magnaflow. OMG it was painfully loud! I swapped out the Touring muffler for a Borla Pro XS, which did help some but it's still too...
I've got a 91 PCM/TCM tune from Jay Greene and I am pretty happy with it. There's a lot more there than with the canned Diablo tune. Truck is very strong, especially passing from 50-55 mph. I debated tuning it but after I put the headers on I was getting cel's that I could not get rid of. Jay...
