I am having the same issues with my AlphaRex i posted about it here:
https://5thgenrams.com/community/threads/driver-side-headlight-issue.28931/
Same thing my lights cycle on off and then bam cant turn them on at all. I wonder if something like this would fix it...
Interesting enough i played around with the option for daylight running lights to on and off in the uconnect and now all seems fine again...
What would this control within the computer? Also weird since no one touched it and it became an issue a year later? And then all was fine for a week with...
Hello everyone,
Not sure if anyone has had this issue or any idea what I should do to troubleshoot but need some help.
Almost a year ago i got in the AlphaRex group buy and installed the headlights and upgraded the h7 bulbs to LEDs. Its been working great for the whole time. A week ago my...
I had the 4th gen with the v6 I'm guessing 3.55 gears and would downshift all the time going any over pass in the highway in flat South Florida. Got the hemi now and can stay in 8th gear most of the time with the 3.21 gears
Just wanted to chime in that I've also not had any issues with my headlights since the group buy...I had some ebay headlights on the previous gen that got condensation and I had to take them out and had to bake them and reseal the whole headlight...I dont expect the same to happen to these as...
Thanks for the explanation! That is what I thought I had read and makes total sense...I might be in the chock club - should have gone for the 4x4...next one for sure.
Ahh maybe i misunderstood above - made it seem like if you don't have 4x4 since there is no physical link from the transmission to front tires putting it in P wouldn't lock up your front tires and the parking brake would only apply to rears so if you backed up far enough into the slippery area...
Funny enough I didnt go 4x4 on my 5th gen as I never needed it on my 4th gen when pulling the boat out of the ramp but now im going to be a little scared at the ramp to be honest....i dont want to be one of those guys swimming for my truck...
LOL Thanks - i probably should have checked my post...yes breaks and brakes not the same...
What about shifting to P - will that lock the front tires? How can we ensure that the truck wont roll back at the ramp?
I have read that a common cause to lose your truck at the boat ramp is due to the way the parking brake engages. It was mentioning that parking brakes typically only engage on rear tires. If for some reason your rear tires are in the slick the truck will just slide on back into the water due to...
I actually got it "fixed"...it would not want to turn off when i switched the deadlights to "off" and if you turn it back into Auto mode it would cycle left and right light on and off...
Anyone having similar problems as above go to your uconnect and lights and turn off the Daylight Running...
Looks like my Aukee H7 LED are not playing nice with the CANBUS system of the truck...anyone have similar experience? It is weird since i was running the same model Aukee but H11's with the stock housing.
