The ground is a constant. Measuring at the "center" of hub can be out a half a inch. Also people with spacers or wide tires can't get to the hub which again alters the measurements. Way to many variables. Again flat ground is constant
Ground does not move.
I used the tufftruck version on my old 12 longhorn. It did change the ride quality a bit but it helped with the sqaut when loaded.
It also seemed to have raised the truck, but I don't remember what version I got.
My theory was "it is a truck and it rides like a truck" if I wanted a smooth...
I just did a swap from stock, but i added a leveling kit first (bilstein 5100).
The rear I added dobinsons 330-500 lbs coil springs. I have not hooked to my trailer yet, but I should have a 10000 lbs load to tow next week, possibly tomorrow. I take it slow and use the backroads to keep away...
This load of scrap crossed the scales at a rough total of 17 000 lbs
Overloaded ... yup!
Empty I cross at 10 100 lbs
Since changed rear springs to stop sag.
Did not find one at this moment, but now I realize these shocks are not mounted like a normal truck shock. I can likely do the cross reference game. I am sure bilstein has something. Just have to sort out the travel of the axle and find a shock that will do it all.
