Everytime for me, no waiting.

I’ve had 3 vehicles since this truck but in my testing I could pull the fuse immediately after starting the vehicle and it would come back everytime. I wanted to put in a breaker switch to cut power with the fuse in line but I guess instead I just got rid of it. 🤣

Yeah. I think they are trained to act like it’s the first time for everyone. Never heard any service manager say “Oh yeah, that’s a common problem”.

They really shouldn’t have to reproduce a well known issue that is due to a part with faulty specs. Especially if there is a new part that superseded the previous one.

On another note it appears TapaTalk app doesn’t work properly on this forum anymore. I apologize the the weird replies.

You can have them replace it but unless it’s a revised part then it won’t do any good. In my eyes it’s a design flaw. And the fact that it’s happening to so many people and Ram plays dumb is very telling of how the company treats its customers.

I don’t have this vehicle anymore but whatever module the dealer replaced fixed this issue. I didn’t have any problems with it after that.

I looked into a switch to kill power but determined I would have to make my own and I wasn’t that motivated. This is a bypass switch so I think it would take some requiring plus the fuse in question is a Micro3.

I live in Phoenix so I left my truck there in the morning and told them to leave it out in the sun and go turn it on around noon. They documented the problem but still couldn’t fix it. The Nav screen is an even worse problem. You could try pulling the fuses for the head unit and the media hub...

So interesting note today. I got done golfing at 6. Car in the sun. I started the car for like less than a minute before I got in. Pulled the fuse and reset it right away. Bam. Power. CarPlay working. I have the new hub and haven’t put it in yet but there is something else at play if resetting...

I have the 8 inch screen and you can get it from holding a finger in the two bottom corners for like 7 seconds. It goes into dealer mode.

Oh. I read everyone I started this thread. [emoji1787] I thought about calling AT&T and just giving them the IMEI info and such. Just haven’t gotten around to that yet. Been using a work Hotspot for now.
