I looked into a switch to kill power but determined I would have to make my own and I wasn’t that motivated. This is a bypass switch so I think it would take some requiring plus the fuse in question is a Micro3.
I live in Phoenix so I left my truck there in the morning and told them to leave it out in the sun and go turn it on around noon. They documented the problem but still couldn’t fix it. The Nav screen is an even worse problem. You could try pulling the fuses for the head unit and the media hub...
One more interesting note as I continue to troubleshoot.
105° Today. Going to head to the gym. Remote start about 1 minute before I go to the car. Get in, no CarPlay. Pull full F43 twice. No power. Realized I didn’t actually press the start button yet. Press start. No power still to USB. Pull...
So interesting note today. I got done golfing at 6. Car in the sun. I started the car for like less than a minute before I got in. Pulled the fuse and reset it right away. Bam. Power. CarPlay working.
I have the new hub and haven’t put it in yet but there is something else at play if resetting...
Oh. I read everyone I started this thread. [emoji1787]
I thought about calling AT&T and just giving them the IMEI info and such. Just haven’t gotten around to that yet. Been using a work Hotspot for now.
If you are trying it on your phone and using wireless CarPlay I think your phone won’t like it. CarPlay establishes a connection on Bluetooth and then transfers to a peer to peer WiFi connection. This will interrupt any existing Wi-Fi connections you have.
I have a ‘19 and I can’t activate it either so I think Ram/AT&T have an activation issue in general. I am of the understanding this started happening in December and last update is that it would be resolved in May. Happy July 1st everyone. [emoji1787]
Interesting tidbit today. I got in my truck about 6 in the the afternoon. Sun blazing on it. Didn’t remote start it. No CarPlay. Duh, didn’t expect it to work. Went about 1 block, pulled over, pulled the fuse to the media hub and bam CarPlay is working again. The truck really didn’t have more...

Hi, I am being advised that the next steps would be is to make an appointment at the dealership for further diagnoses. They will be able to reach out to their STAR Master Techs for guidance and troubleshooting steps. Thanks Tiffanie.

I’m not saying I don’t believe you. I certainly believe someone would say that at AT&T. I’m just saying I have had it activated before so I think AT&T would have some record of it but I also am not able to activate new service (again).
My issue is I am unable to activate. I am not totally sure I buy the “some VIN’s, etc.. we’re not transferred excuse as I had a subscription pre-Covid.
Well it seems insane to me that AT&T is saying it’s a Ram problem and Ram is saying it’s an AT&T problem and the regular customer that just wants to activate a feature on their truck is stuck in the middle of it. Seems an easy fix would just be to provide customers who want to sign up a cheap...
Care to elaborate on WHY we can’t sign up? Because it functionally works. I can turn it on, connect to it and get to AT&T’s signup page. I called AT&T and they said it’s a Chrysler problem and affecting all lines of vehicles. So just curious what the issue is.
