No, mine was slow (minutes to start, not a minute, MINUTES!) even when I had the free trial years ago. That said, I generally agree with you about the FOB. The reason remote start was attractive to me was in cases of very hot summer days. Example: yesterday was 105 degrees and we were having...
I agree with a lot of what you are saying, 23RAM. Definitely, the originator and the destination need to be authenticated. This process shouldn't take long at all. The same process has to take place when making a simple cell phone call. It also takes place with virtually any secure IP...
You're right, it wasn't the whole package but I didn't need/want any of the other things that weren't included. Not sure if it was only for 6 months but if so, that will be that after 6 months! Not paying more than $5/month, especially if it is working so poorly. Hopefully, they will send me a...
Well, I got an offer for $5/month to renew Uconnect so I went ahead and pulled the trigger, mainly for the few occasions I would like to use remote start. May have been a mistake. If no one here has a magic fix, I'll call them in a few days and see what their story is. Maybe they are bouncing...
Why does it take so long to remote start a RAM 1500 (2019 model) using the app? Makes no sense to me. Should happen within seconds. It seems to be the case here whether I have good cell service or poor. A family member's with a different brand vehicle does in fact start within seconds. Mine...
Haven't seen much of that here but the most interesting thing I have seen was on my first trip to my son's new house in southern Kern County, CA. It's quite a bit north of me and it took me on a north-south eastern freeway and highways versus western. All fine until it wanted me to go west...
The screen did not change overnight so I called the Support desk again. They informed me that the 2018 date I see in the very long "Map Update Version" in System Information has to do with the original install, not my update. At the end of that long version number, it says 21Q4, meaning Q4 2021...
So I received the map and software update USBs today (2 1/2 months after ordering!). The software update went very smoothly. The map update did not. First, the Product Serial Number was not valid according to the website they send you to in order to get your Activation Code. So I called in to...
Shocking. I finally got an email stating that my map update is shipping from Tennessee, and will be here in 5-15 days. Must be going out via the slow boat but at least it is finally being shipped.
Where do you determine the software version? And where did you find 40.1? If I am not mistaken, the map update that is shipped comes with a software update too. Been a couple of months since I read through it but I think it specifically states to update the software first.
