LOVE mine. Nicest vehicle I've owned. It has a few quirks, should be expected on a full redesign new Gen I guess. But overall it's very impressive. Blows every other 1500 series truck out of the water in interior quality, options and appearance IMO. This is coming from a long time GM guy...
One side is all related to truck cleaning and such. Rags, towels, fluids, etc. Then I use that one (driver side) to charge things if I need to with the outlet. Other side is work stuff such as vest, hard hat, etc. and plenty of spare room. Adjust either side for tailgating on game day such...
If you go the full 2.5 inches you will actually be low in the rear (Cali Lean). This still gives it a near level appearance, doesn't throw codes, allows air settings to operate and seems to be the sweet spot that doesn't adversely affect ride quality.
DIY Leveling Kit
2" Daystar Spacers
Nitto Ridge Grappler 305/45R22
Match front door window tint (20%)
35% front windshield
0.625 inches is difference in rear and front. Will tweak with time.
First and 3rd picture is Normal setting. Tailgating picture is entry/exit.
Nitto Ridge Grappler 305 45 R22 installed. 8 ply XL tire. Looks amazing and frankly they ride better than the stock tires. Very very slight hum at highway speed with everything off. Not noticeable otherwise.
Tuxedo accepted return of (via Amazon) soft tonneau cover I had installed. It was...
As an update took the truck in today to get new rubber and little fiddling and cutting New Link bolts them reinstalling links and the truck is back to normal I can't explain it and they can't really either. A touch over 0.5 inches higher in the rear all levels work fine ride quality seems back...
Based on this post I am going to have the dealer recharge and re calibrate the nitro system now that everything is installed. I've got the wind noise warranty and a loose trim piece it is going in for anyways, so they can do it then...
Hey gang. On Saturday I had the DIY level links (front only) and Daystar spacers installed. Of course I picked the truck up right at closing time when they finished. At first glance the truck looked pretty leveled as I had indicated I was fine with up to 1/2 inch between front and rear...
BIG DAY. I've been stockpiling mods since I got the truck in July and have been so busy with work and a beach remodel that they've sat there. Very much enjoying the truck but today...today she's a different animal. Dropped it off at my local shop for:
2" Daystars and DIY (mod here) air ride...
Thank you. Would be curious if there is a TSB. Mine is going in for the bed to cab seal and door adjustment (wind noise) so I'd like to include that if indeed it is an issue. I'll see if they can't address it as honestly it seems to be happening more, I didn't ever notice it when I got the...
Same thing here. Pretty annoying. Never get's much over 4 to 6 inches and is clustered near the center mainly. I don't have the side window issues but it's probably climate related vs. vehicle. Wonder if any of this may be related to the lack of cold air or vent power others have complained...
Mine does the same thing. I usually want to run the recirc but honestly almost have to in order to cut down on the crazy wind noise. Every 15 to 20 minutes you can hear it open the vents, car warms up and the wind/road noise increases. I've been cutting off and back on again but total pain...
So I'm a week and 500 miles into my new Ram and boy I am really impressed. Ride quality is unreal, tech is just fun and super responsive, power and pickup is adequate (came from a tuned 6.2 so it's not quite that good). Interior space is massive and the Rambox storage is a treat. The 12"...
