Thanks for the pic. I got everything installed over the last couple days here except the 2nd ground cable. Just running alt + to bat + and bat - to stock ground location. No voltage drop even at insane volumes. I will probably add the extra ground when the weather is nicer. Im running 1/0 so...
Have you looked to see where on the block your planning to ground? There is a bolt off the alt case that is directly bolted to the block.. or it looks that way.
Thanks for reply
Just wondering what everyone picked to ground? Obviously power from alt to power on battery, negative on battery to a ground point on frame.. but what about the alt ground? Seems the alternator is part of the engine case almost.. i would think its pretty well grounded there.. Alt case bolt to...
I had similar setup in my 4th gen, jl w3 and hertz 1dk amp. 1100wrms.. the w3s are just not worth it in my eyes.. didn't like the sound at all. I like the hertz spl shows.. the older ones if u can still find them.. sound just as good if not better than a w6.. im putting 2 in my new 5th gen..
I had an automatic update last week. Everytime i shut off the truck it said install new update, so pushed yes.. Ive never had any issues with my 12 though, but it did say something about stability/ reliability update.
Like the title says, im getting ready to start my install and am wondering how people are running the 1/0 cables? Ive had 3 previous rams and always have run under the door kick plates, but that was always #4 and it was tight. Now that im running 1/0 and installing 2 amps/dsp i think it may be...
I live in northern canada and have driven the ram through 2-4 ft of snow.. 4 auto, 4 low, 4high without any issues.. i drive with 4auto on most of the time during the winter months and would be extremely pissed if my truck did that.. 4auto and antispin are the best combo for real winter situations..
What type of subs you put in this bud? Im thinking of grabbing the same one but i just got 2 hertz sx250 spl shows and they weigh about 26lbs each. Just a little worried with that under hung weight on the single sheet of 5/8s baffle.
Cheers
Tap into the sub wires behind the back passenger seat where the sub is. Feed to your loc. Ive done this in my past 2 rams with the alpine. It dosen't give the greatest signal but its ok. Im doing mine proper this time around. Kenwood xr600-6dsp and maestro ar.. will finally get real flat signal...
