Thanks, due to some unfortunate circumstances, i've put about 2500 miles on the F250 already and towed a ton. There is no comparison in towing between the half-tons.
I bet the RAM 2500 tows well too. My brother actually as a 2500 RAM, with the 5.7 and they tow horses with it. I was shocked...
pretty sure it came out at like 1064 when I had punched in the VIN. The MF tailgate must take a decent chunk out to as that picture about of 1300lbs is without MF.
I traded the truck in last week. So doesn’t matter much anymore for me. Bought a F250 6.7 Powerstoke King Ranch. No more...
The tune was awesome from Jay. We tow a camper in the summer and the towing capacity and payload were abmismal on the Limited, gotta read the fine print I guess.
Well the towing capacity at 8k is disappointing, but the payload of 1000lbs, that looks to be a deal breaker.
Tongue weight of TT 600lbs, hitch 100lbs, me @ 190lbs, and we're left 100lbs before my wife or anything else is in the vehicle...
Guess i get to lose my *** trading in on a 4 month...
Agree 100%, lesson learned. I'm just more shocked at the difference in towing vs my previous F150... the F150 towed our 5500lb TT significantly better. So i'm figuring out a few things i can do to make the RAM tow better, but if i can't improve it. I'll be dumping the truck i guess. I also...
My Limited shows up at 1224 payload and 8024 towing.
Didn't know it was so reduced, but also didn't know about this forum before i bought the truck. Add it to a number of reasons that I'm beginning to not like the truck :(
Supposed that's a matter of preference, small tank + 8ish mpg towing... LOTS of stops, stops add time, on a big road trip that could easily add another hour or two because of stops...
I think based on that big thread, the overall mileage is worse for a e-torque than a non-e-torque, city/highway whatever.
Makes no sense since the whole point is that it's supposed to be more efficient, but it's obviously creating a parasitic drag or something (who knows)...
I can't comment if...
Skip e-torque if you can... HORRIBLE gas mileage, huge thread on it, i get about 16.5mpg on the highway with my e-torque Limited. 21mpg hahahahaahhahahahahahaha rrrright...
