I recently went from the non-nav 8.4 to the full monty 12” on my ‘19 Bighorn 1500 and love it! No guardian, but that would have been a whole bunch of work to figure out. As it is I have all the XM coolness with traffic and weather maps, kept my dual zone climate, gained navigation and possibly...
I'm curious as well. I'm looking to trade in my 1500 for a 2500 and dont want to spend the money on going up trim levels just to get passive entry when it may be possible to just do it myself like on the 1500.
Just a reminder: Anyone in the greater Jacksonville, FL area that doesnt want to purchase all the stuff to do the programming just message me and we can meet up to get-'er-dun!
My parts aren't here yet, but I got so excited at the prospect of finally having Passive Entry that I went out a...
Finally back from some extended work travel and am excited to see this new thread on the Passive Entry issue! Thankyou MayhemMOORE(y) for your work, as well as all the good folks who have added their hints and advice throughout the last 10 pages. Parts are now ordered and will be here next week...
You are correct, no eTorque here. I bought the truck used with 7,000 miles on it, after it had been a fleet vehicle for Enterprise. My distrust of the FCA build sheet stems from other people’s experience posted elsewhere on this forum. I probably do have the 26, but I’m leery of running her to...
Yes. The electronic build sheet on the Mopar website said 26. But we all know these have been wrong on numerous cases documented in this forum for other stuff. That’s why I am looking for a way to visually verify it.
I wish I could find a part number that matched one of those you mention, but I’ve scoured the tank for identifying marks and all I have found are these two stickers on the back of it. The only place I have NOT looked was the top, for obvious reasons.
This is more of what I EXPECTED to see. But instead I am taking it don to 0 miles left and refilling with a smidge over 20. The next time I buried the needle in E and drove perhaps twenty miles past 0 miles left and filled up with about 22.
I’ve heard of pessimistic fuel gauges but this is...
SOOooooo according to my VIN search on the Mopar website I have a 26 gallon tank. But I have run this baby down to Empty a few times and it never takes more than 22 gallons to get her back to full. I figure there two possible things going on here:
1) the body computer thinks I have a 23 gallon...
Generally speaking: Yes. My plan when that is going to happen is to have them update my build sheet with everything all at once before they do the reset (hopefully for one small fee). Remember that normal service visits do not require a reset of the BCM.
I don't know much about the autel plugs. But if you are in the St. Augustine area soon I can hook you up with my bypass/reader/alfaobd stuff and an adult beverage to get finish it up.
I would tend to agree. There is so much vehicle configuration control in the factory units that an aftermarket head unit would never cover. What you CAN do is upgrade from what you have to a higher teared factory unit. For example remove your UConnect 8.4 and install the UConnect 8.4 NAV, or...
Okay. NOW I know what you mean by 'bracket'. It's the connector carrier and bale. Yes, you can easily snap the bale off if you have not firmly seated the connector first.
Anyway, I did the whole installation this morning/afternoon and just finished the body computer configuration change using...
