Not sure if I'll have much luck here, as most of you are in the US, though still worth a try.
I drive a 2019 RAM 1500 DT Laramie, which I originally bought new in Belgium. That means it has been converted for the EU, which relates mostly to converting the lights.
Recently, someone pointed out...
There's another thread about this:

Excellent write-up with pictures! Thanks!
Honestly, I'm a bit underwhelmed by the additional light this brings, so indeed, I guess changing the position of the led bar might help with this. Would be very interested in some more pictures after you made any changes.
It's great to see though, as...
Have you tried lifting it upwards and pushing it away from you a bit while pressing the push-button?
That should normally do it. Can there be something in the bed pushing against the tailgate? That’s a quite common cause.

Honestly, I thought at first that with the white grease it was better, but was only for a very short while. I still need to push the tailgate a bit upwards if I want it to open. I'll have it checked at the dealership next Friday.
40,000 miles, no major issues. Tailgate had some trouble opening, but I think I resolved that with some white grease. Other than that, just the regular oil and filter changes. No issues yet.
I do recognise that pushing while pressing the button or handle helps for me as well. And indeed, when I have something in the bed pushing against the tailgate, it will be very difficult to open.
ordered some wd40 white grease and will try to adjust the latches as well, when the weather permits 😊
