It looks like it was hit with something that had some weight behind it, maybe someone was trying to squeeze their lawn tractor into the garage next to it.
I ordered a set for a 2006 Monte Carlo from Sportwing several years ago and I was very happy with them. You give them the paint code and they paint to match. My car was Laser Blue, not a very common color and they matched up perfectly.
If it is the same hood they should fit. My 2019 Bighorn (non E-Torque) had those black badges, and I saw E-Torque models of the same truck with the badges you currently have.
Personally I would get it checked out by a shop or dealership. Our Grand Cherokee started having trans problems recently, and I thought fluid and filters would help, but it turned out being the solenoid pack, which needed replacing. It has to be scanned to diagnose the cause of the problems.
Sounds like you may be getting some bad gas, I don't know how far away Wisconsin is for you, but if you filled up someplace else and it ran without any issues, the gas you are getting locally might be the problem.
You may be able to make it look somewhat better by polishing it out and touching it up yourself, but a body shop will be able to get it perfect or at least very close to perfect. Expect to spend a few hundred dollars though.
According to Ram's specs, a 1500 4x4 is 77.6" tall. A 2500 4x4 is 80.1" tall. My garage doors are 7' tall (84") and when I had a 1500 there was plenty of clearance, and my current truck, a 2500 4x4 fits fine. I think the O.P. will be ok with a few extra inches from a level.
