Has anyone explored the possibility of adding a screen protector for the 12-in screen? If so, what did you use. I’m looking at the Zagg screen protector designed for the 11in iPad Pro. These are the dimensions I got for it.

How easy does the uconnect screen scratch without protection? I'm surprised we would need a protector

i doubt many are real interested in finding out

The point was whether anyone has noticed this to be an issue requiring a protector. I've had no scratches on mine since picking it up at the beginning of October. It isn't the same as my phone requiring protection, as I don't shove my 12 inch touchscreen into my pocket and its impossible to drop... I would venture the majority of owners aren't putting a glass screen protector on their screens. I'm not blaming anyone for putting extra protection on for 15 bucks. But I am curious if anyone has actually seen the need for such a thing.

My intent is not necessarily for the “protection” aspect as is more for its fingerprint resistant capabilities. Just a personal preference

That would be a nice feature. So the glass is more resistant to fingerprints? I could see that being a major plus.

My only concern would be down the road, if this screen protector got scratched and I would like to replace it, would it be possible to get it off. Previous posts say that it fits perfectly. So perfectly that it will be impossible to remove if needed?

It shouldn’t be a problem to remove it. I’ve used them on other vehicles and had no problem removing them. They don’t seem to last very long with the extreme heat where I live, though.

Thanks! That is exactly why I was wondering if it was easy to remove. Idaho gets some hot days and if it doesn't last I would like to avoid a hassle replacing it.

Have the Amazon one and love it. Never know what could happen in a car... all it takes is one incident to cost you $3k to replace the screen. Well worth it for $15... almost a no brainer... I forgot I even had one on my truck until I saw these threads again.

How is the glare off the screen, especially if the panoroof is open. From videos, it looks like it could have a lot of glare. What do you experience in person?

I’m not a fan of screen protectors. I hate them even on my iPhone. I just can’t stand the darn outline of it.
