What did you do to your Ram today???

Made my own Delmonico Red Mirror Caps.
I've been looking for a Delmonico red wrap since I bought the truck and have not been successful.

I bought some black mirror caps for the 25-26 truck and some spray touch up paint (the mirror caps are different for on the 19-24 trucks so those won't work).

I I use some 1000 grit wet dry sandpaper and a bucket of soapy water and scuffed up the black mirror caps. I wiped them down with alcohol then sprayed them with the touch up paint.

Sped up the drying process by using my heat gun to bake the paint on and then I fixed a couple of blemishes then sprayed a third and fourth coat.

I'll get some polyurethane clear this week and top them off with that before I install them. Start to finish, 30 minutes

Total cost, ~$50.
Touch up paint was $11, should have bought two cans though; finished the last coat as the can went dry
Mirror caps were $18 each

There are a lot of lakes where I live. Thus a lot of boats. I’m about 5 minutes from the lake.
I owned a boat just like this one previously. It’s a great boat!
If you are ever in a position to really want to look for one, reach out. I have a fair bit of experience with them.
will do!
just gotta move somewhere where I'm not 6 hours away from a lake big enough hahaa

Turned out nice for a rattlecan job!

Hahaha. Not if you know what you’re doing and buy right!

I'll probably jinx it now but my little 2008 SeaDoo boat has been pretty trouble free.

Could use some new upholstery and the jet intake weed clearing thingamabob hasn't worked in a few years, but the motors and the rest are solid. That said, it doesn't get used much really.

I usually don’t hang on to a boat for too long. It’s my summer hobby buying and selling them. I might use them once or twice before they’re gone. I usually don’t hang on 4-5 in a summer. Depends on what’s available. I’m picky!
I’ve seen several SeaDoos and other jet boats for sale here but don’t know enough about them to deal with them.

Banks infomercial on the Pedal Commander pretty much sold me, I never saw a response back from Pedal Commander.
Installed one on my 2026 on Sat and when I went to start it on Sunday the battery was dead. It's going back. Had a Pedal Commander on my 19 for 8 years with no problem.

Follow up. Called for RMA and they didn't even try to deny that it wasn't causing the issue. So If you have a 25 or 26 I wouldn't recommend it.

sometimes manufacturer reps just don't want to deal with it and taking it back is a lot easier than to explain (which most likely will end up in arguments).
that said, had a pedal commander on my previous rig for 5 years. worked fine as it should didn't give me issues. but i wouldn't waste money on something that again lol

Picked up a huge rock chip View attachment 214874

That’s probably the biggest rock chip I’ve ever seen! WOW!
I just got one a week ago about the size of a quarter. Booked my windshield replacement as it’s just below my view. Friggin thing makes me cross eyed when it comes into viewing area. LOL

Yesterday, replaced my hub assembly on the front passenger side that started to make noise. Took longer because New England Rust Things and the fact they put a steel hub in an aluminum carrier. took some work and we had to replace the brake dust shield after tearing it up but got the job done in 3 hours:
