Finally finished up the ambient light system 100% and I’m really happy with how it turned out 🔥 I finished the full interior setup and added LED rings to the speakers as the final touch, which made difference in the overall look at night. Now the lighting flows cleanly across the dash, doors, and speaker areas, and the whole car.tempImageppn7P1.pngtempImageS00PoY.pngtempImage9wjMmk.png This was the last step I wanted, and now the ambient lighting project is fully complete.
 
Swapped 18" OEM painted silver wheels, on a '22, with chrome grill, bumpers and running boards with the same wheel, but chromed by Detroit Wheel. Less than $1900 for wheels, tire and TPMS swap, balancing, chrome valve stems, zinc (chrome look) solid lug nut set, alignment check and new full size spare tire with road hazards for all 5. Discount Tire did the mounting. I'm very pleased with the outcome!

Went to test the already installed 8100s in my Rear and the Carli rear springs. Definitely a big improvement, what I noticed the most is the rebound. Almost no rebound when going faster on the whoops.
My front is obviously suffering a ton, can't wait to get the 8112 currently on back order. (2 more weeks)
We had rain last week, so had tons of fun with puddles of water haha, damn I forgot how hard it is to remove all that mud when coming home!

No, I actually did an experiment myself. Bought the below pieces from Home Depot and attached them to my front bumper. Don't know if you are willing to drill your bumper. I didn't mind, and plus maybe in the future I just go for an aftermarket bumper so I had less fear of screwing it up. But I actually really like it and feels good to have come up with something like this.

i'd say add some underside support to the brackets to strengthen the bracket's holding force especially if you wanna go fast. lights sticking out from the bumper will vibrate, especially when you go fast on rough terrains - the chassis vibration will be transferred to the lights and that's what kill the lights internally. The HD thin bracket may also be another failure point with the vibrations as well.

that's why I sold my Dark Dunes (now out of business) brackets. they vibrate too much with BD LP6.

a triangular support bracket that fills the gap between the bottom of the bracket and the bumper will greatly reduce vibration.

Yep, after swapping in the Eibach Stage2 COs and lifting the whole truck another 0.50", my 285/60R20s looked too short to me..now rolling 285/65R20s (~34.4").

Still liking the suspension? I keep tossing around the Stage 2r or the Carli Commuter. Truck is at 85k miles. Planning a big upgrade around 95ishk when I buy new tires.

I've fallen in love with my Ram all over again since dialing in the Eibach Stage2 COs, 4-corner balance, and new 285/65R20s!!

I'm SOOO happy with this combo now. We just took a drive in a hilly, twisty area near us AND couldn't be happier..PLUS..I shocked that these taller tires HAVEN'T kill my gearing!

Stock rear posi is 3.92, which dropped to 3.74 with 285/60R20s, and now 3.62 with 285/65R20s, but somehow the gearing, powering, shifting, pulling power up hills almost seem the best yet!! I didn't go with 285/65R20s last year because I was so afraid of losing gearing..NOT the case at all. (and yes, I didn't recalibrate the Speedo with AlfaOBD both times..spot-on each time).

My biggest "gear fear" was all for nothing it appears. Both tires were/are 285s so width isn't a factor. Technically, the 65s have a longer contact patch, so you'd think more rolling resistance, but it feels like less rolling resistance, huh?!

Anyways..LOVE the Eibachs and LOVE the Ascents..especially since both are performing above my expectations..AND look so perfect to me🤗🤗🤗

Carli Commuters have always been of interest to me (one of the very first I considered) because of what sounds like good ride and high-ish lifts. In the end, I've used Eibachs a ton over the years and they have a great balance of ride & handling..and a high-ish lift. My Ram is very heavy..I'm at MAX lift (146mm/5.75" thread..very last, top thread) to get ~2.25" real lift without the tire lift added. They are advertised 0-3.2" lift. Fox PEs at 2.5" lift gave me 1.875" lift. I really dig the Bilstein 8112/8100, but talking with Billy techs realized..absolutely NO way I'd get 2.5" lift.

Technically I didn't do all of this today, but I have had a productive week of things. I installed a new X2 Power H7 AGM battery. Installed rear wheel well liners, and got a dent in my tailgate fixed!

So far with my new truck I added a set of seat covers. They turned out great. I removed the back seats to get the seat backs on properly. They did have some additional pieces for the front jump seat but that never gets raised so I just used the bottom piece. So far I've put on tow hook covers, seat covers, and sill covers. The sill covers I got through Amazon Vine. I'm a tester. I get to order stuff for free, test them, and write reviews. They only had 1500, 392, & 345. I wanted 2500 but they were free so I got 392.

yesterday I tried to test fit my center console MOLLE panel with brackets I made and ate sh*t hard because I F-ed my knee earlier in the week (it was so bad that a 20 step journey to restroom from my desk was an expedition itself... took me 10 minutes to do 20 steps and almost peed in my pants multiple times), so one leg's support is still not fully there.
it hurt like a MF but it was hilarious when I tried to picture how I fell while I was on the ground.

i'll try again later tonight. I already see some modifications I needed for the bracket design when I put them together yesterday and new bracket designs are being made already. But I'll test fit tonight to see if my calculations are correct. I'm like $200 deep in this project already for 8 brackets (2 iterations) and 2 panels

also took this whole week while I'm down to learn CAD. who knew f*cking up my knee would turn out to be more productive than ever in the projects department LOL
