Just updated my software when I got home, message saying there was an update.

Let's hope this fixes the AWFUL CarPlay wireless connectivity....it has been sooooo bad my wife makes fun of me..."look at the new truck and your awesome tech"!

I just got mine yesterday hopefully it does help. Does anyone know what it was supposed to fix?

Never mind. Connect and disconnect issues again. Uconn is sweet and garbage at the same time.

I got a message that I was updated about 30 min after it started the update yesterday

I was told after the update is completed it then takes up to 24 hours to complete

Hopefully!

Weird. Never had any issues with my CarPlay 26 tungsten. Thank god I guess.

Assuming this was the R5T update, it’s just for the telematics box. Not Uconnect.

Does plugging in and only using usb CarPlay fix the connectivity issues? I’ve had wireless CarPlay issues in my previous 24’ Tacoma and have had a few in the new Laramie, wondering if hardwire fixes the issues.

If I plug it in right away it’s usually fine but if I’m already having issues then it doesn’t fix them.

Ah gotcha. Think I’m going to delete my phone from the truck, just plug in and tell my phone to only use usb to see if that works. I don’t mind using wired connection honestly, wireless isn’t a huge deal to me; granted it should work on a $70k truck…

Luckily I’ve only had to delete my phone once and it did fix the issue

I did a hard reset last weekend and so far it has been fine. This is after daily/weekly issues.

My two cents is I believe these, too frequent, iPhone iOS updates throw off the connection. I am going to delay iOS updates going forward

Hard reset on the Uconnect? How do you do that?
