New info on Gas tank fueling issue

I've had this "problem" with many vehicles - my 2012 Titan did it, my 2018 Challenger does it, my 2022 Ram does it, heck, even my 1964 Beaumont does it. And the answer lies in high fueling rate versus ability of the gas filler tube to accept fuel. And the solution is not new parts, it is patience, either adjusting the direction of fuel flow like MW says, or just backing off of full speed a bit.

Dave
Not with this problem, trust me. I've been a "car guy" all my life and I've tried every angle, every depth, every flow rate, every possible scenario or option and nothing works. Definitely need a new tank once this happens. I've read a lot of people getting a new filler neck installed at the dealership and it doesn't fix it. Please don't just make statements like they're 100% factual to everyone. That was your experience, and I'm happy to hear about it, but don't tell us that is the problem, definitively. Thanks for your contribution

For the umpteenth zillion time.....They didn't redesign the tank because of the filler, angle of fuel being changed etc etc etc. Its the tank. PERIOD

What are you on about, my friend? I was responding to

Dude, I was responding to this - "I've had this "problem" with many vehicles - my 2012 Titan did it, my 2018 Challenger does it, my 2022 Ram does it, heck, even my 1964 Beaumont does it. I don't know what you're on about. I never said anything about redesigning the tank. I simply stated that it's not ok, it's not normal, and most everyone I saw that had this problem had to get their tank replaced. Don't start problems by making stuff up in your head. Chill bro.

Привет Парни! Всё таки кто то решил проблему с заправкой бака до конца? Или знает проблему заправки точно?

It all depends on what is causing it. Could be several things causing the issue. You can either take it to a shop/dealer to be diagnosed, or just start throwing parts at it until you get to the one causing issue

As I said there are several different things that can cause the issue. Bad rollover valve on the tank, bad vapor canister(usually from over filling and fuel being sucked in), bad fill hose from tank to cap, nas vent on the tank

Similar circumstances occurred with the 2003 + Sorento's. The foam barrier in the vapor canister would deteriorate and allow the loose charcoal to plug the vent. It would take forever to fill that tank. One fix was to remove the canister, get the charcoal back where it belongs and then place steel wool in place of the foam. Worked like a charm. Just a thought.

Скажите ребята, как топливо может попасть в бак при заправке? Это просто не реально физически. Если только не заливать его туда специально.

Update on 2021 rebel - Tank replacement number 3... schedule drop off at dealership on 2/6/26. 155942 miles. 3rd tank replacement for the clogged tank vent (7/unlimited warranty has paid for itself at this point)... looking at moving on from this truck after repair.

Are you one of those people who likes to "top off" the tank after the pump clicks off the first time?

My truck just started having issues with the pump clicking off constantly while trying to fill up. No I don't over fill my tank. Once the pump clicks off, I'm done fueling.

I found this video. Its a Gen 4 ram, and mine is a 2021. But I assume the filter is in the same location.

The guy in the video goes over two possible issues, the second one being with what he calls the leak detector. I'm hoping its not that, because the part is almost $200

Nope. Pull the pump out as soon as it shuts off the first time. Tech told me not to ever top it off when the first tank was replaced (<5k miles on her).
