I did the body mounts a few weeks ago and still had the clunk
Then I replaced the front sway bar and sway bar and links with the suspension links. Still had the clunk
while looking around I recently noticed that the bolts on the High hat for the strut on my driver side are not the same length as the one on my passenger side. When I originally did the strut install I over torqued one of the bolts and sheared it… The High hat that I ordered had the same part number as the original so I thought it was the same.
Today I disassembled the front driver side strut to replace the high hat with one that matches the passenger side. While doing that I noticed the suspension max and links had come loose.
I replaced the new high hat and tightened the heck out of the end links. Driving around today the clunk was gone… But it almost always comes back after this kind of work when it’s wet. So we will see
I’m on my new property and don’t have a garage, driveway, or really any flat surface to do work. So it has been an adventure. I used a large piece of excess flooring to disperse the weight of the jack, after securing the jack to another piece of wood to make sure it didn’t move at all once it had the trucks wait on it.

Here is the disassembled strut
And here you can see the incorrect I had next to the new one that matches the passenger side. The bolts are definitely different than the old one even looks like it’s a slightly different shape.
